Dude you gotta learn how to pronounce Indian names properly or at least make an attempt to do so. Seriously, a third of the tech leaders have Sanskrit origin names like Nikhil or Sundar… least you can do is learn how to pronounce them, these are just 2 syllables mate

This content is right on time and hitting home. Thanks, Nikhyl!
Hi Nikhyl, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your advice. It’s some of the best I found in years. Your past experiences and your understanding of human psychology sets it apart. Thank you again!
this is brilliant!! thank you!!! I've been struggling as a Jr PM when I was moved to a PM role that was open. I am very aware of my lack of technical/domain expertise but I'm good at design and couldn't figure out what was not clicking, leadership is also very uptight and anxious since we have a working product that needs to scale. Seems I'm a crafter and a bit of growth PM. I can clearly identify my coworker who is an engineer with domain expertise turned PM and he adds so much value.
Long time listener, first-time caller. I enjoy your podcast, but this episode is difficult to listen to because of the number of voice-over edits. It's like someone else's voice They audibly sound different from the rest of your spoken words and it takes me out of the stream of thoughts. It makes it hard to follow along. I had to stop and hunt down a place to send this feedback. I listen on Spotify so with audio-only it really stands out. I'm going to give it another try because I really wanted to hear the message.
Update: I got past it and I enjoyed the episode. I like the video version better, so I'm glad I came here from Spotify. Thank you! P. S. I wanted to mention that the audio problem is not unique. I've faced the problem myself with audio recordings, so I know what you'd have to wrestle with to solve it. Truly thankful for your podcast. Cheers!
Just what I needed. Thank you, Nikhyl.
Very great insight! I just curious do you think this guy is coachable? Not everybody is Jobs and Jobs is always right because he gets it right by letting others convincing him. This guy actually is not that smart as he thought. Maybe he needs some real failure to accept your advice, you cannot get everything without trade-off. What do you think?
Also Nikhyl, Id love to volunteer/pay to be one of thhe case studies you mentioned earlier in the episode!
Ditto
Were so back
This is arguably the best podcast ever! ❤🎉
Thanks for this episode, Nikhyl! This helps. I'm now at the end of a six-months pause as PM, and getting back to the job market looks daunting in the middle of a third wave of layoffs. It think your content helps to differentiate my profile and keep growing. Take care!
Your insight is always helpful, thanks Nikhyl!
I always appreciate your sage advice Nikhyl! One question I have relates to the timeline of the career story. You spoke about an individual project at one company, while a career spans many companies and projects. Is there a specific reason for this?
Love this one on being a founder mindset
So many Evans in the government
Power giving super power oof @me
Very helpful insights!
This is really helpful. Realized a few parts of the framework after working for 7 years in the industry. Question - What's your thought process of coming up with such frameworks? Which questions are worth creating/thinking about a framework? Thank you so much, Nikhyl. Huge fan of your work.
Good one, I just discovered that I am a domain and change management expert.
I regularly listen to this episode maybe at least once in two months. I have identified and found so many of my overshadows and I am seriously working through them. I really appreciate this time and episode.
You are awesome
great episode, thank you!
This is awesome! The best episode so far!!!
This shadow concept opened my eyes to develop the coaching in my team. So interesting!
Thank you for running this podcast! I'm a platform partnerships manager and the advice resonates with folks across functions in tech, not just PM.
Hello, can you recommend a podcast similar to this for career advice for product designers?
Thanks Nikhyl for such a wonderful set of recommendation, I can certainly vouch for Lenny's Podcast being one the best learning avenues for me. Additionally its was very helpful for me as I am working towards building my board of directors.
Another great episode, useful in navigating career path options. Your advice is insightful in the trade offs between the different options, in the context of the caller's priorities.
Great insights! I love the idea of oscillating between stage of company.. what about B2B vs B2C? Does it make sense to pick a lane or oscillate there?
What an amazing podcast! Feels like listening each of the episodes 1000 times!
The link to the table isn’t working, can you pls fix or post the new link?
thank you Nikhyl!
great to have you back..this is a much better format given its high on context. Would love to see you cover more depth of the exact phrasing of answers when simulating different scenarios
What's the best email to reach you? I want to share my situation with you.
I hate it when PMs curse and you have to beep them out 😆 jk. Welcome back.
That is hilarious. We're working on upgrading the beep though!
So good to have you back!!
I love your content! Keep it up and thanks!🎉🎉
Very nicely described set of recommendations. Thanks a lot! I like the concept of board of directors 😊
Any similar podcast recommendations for the Engineering side of the picture?
How do i build the best team for a restaurant?
This was a great conversation. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Nikhyl, thanks for sharing these very actionable insights. I plan on using a couple of these with one of my "board of directors" I am meeting next week! :)
So insightful! Do you offer 1:1 training?
Thanks for the valuable content. Hope more product managers are able to find your channel
Really loved this video and part 1, very very helpful, especially with examples and ideas on how to improve for each example
this is extremely valuable, the specific examples help contextualize career challenges.
great content, thank you for sharing! salient points around head of product roles emerging at ex-growth companies, definitely seeing a lot of that. I'm interested in how you would evaluate a #2 role, specifically choosing your next boss as a product manager.
Excellent tips here on the importance of authenticity for connection, especially the point about coming to the conversation with specific questions. This was something I missed early in my career - I'd set up time, but I would not do enough homework. Then, I'd only have vague questions that I had hoped would develop into a specific topic to explore during the conversation itself ("just get them talking and then I'll find something to hone in on"). Being prepared with specifics goes much further when trying to build connections, whether you're on the asking or receiving end.
Great advice. Subscribed.
