Who all died? 💀
No class VI??
I was looking for newspaper articles on my grandmother, and found one from the Hinton Daily News from October 1915 that said she left for Beury where she would teach the next year. Great to see what is left of the town. I had never heard of it.
here in Chile your Class V is a class III 😁
I went with my youth group 2023. It was so fun I loved it!!
Nice
Where did you get your machine do you have a phone number or name of your will you get your machine from
The class five looks like the s bend at marblemount ❤
🤩🤩
Except the recycling yard won't take them in cube form here in Spokane Washington because you can hide a lead brick in them.
I didn’t realize WV got 101.3?
Please spell out the name of the machine (no name given in description, and he said can crusher 3000 isn’t it’s real name). Gas powered would be a joke for occasional home users-a lot of stale gas
That was always an awesome sight and fun to raft, did it often in late 80's and early 90's. It has changed, ran it again not long ago, easy and quiet put in, now they have self bailing rafts (beats the hell out of using a 5 gallon bucket) and they like to "surf" rapids (I don't enjoy that, don't see the point). That is the best river to run if you like adrenaline highs, it still holds up, highly recommended for anyone that enjoys rafting.
Did u make the can crusher or buy it and where can I get one because I need one bad
im class V
Just did the lower Gauley last weekend with my son and his buddies. I'm 57. Upper and lower mash are a BLAST!! As intimidating as it is, if you get set right, it's a smile so big the river can't knock it off. You gotta stay focused and listen to your guide! JoBo is an absolute BEAST of a guide! I will request him if I ever get to go again!! That man knows this river!!!
Where is the gorge, where is this company, how do I contact them? These are things I needs to know
Started with a class 3 for the first time in Costa Rica. Thought I was bad ass and did a class IV a day later. I was super exhausted half way through and couldn’t paddle right the 2nd half lol. Needless to say it was amazing
That was not a V lmao
Just did my first class 5 rapid, Clavey Falls on the Tuolemne, at near 3000 cfs Had a great guide who scouted it thoroughly and it was an absolute blast
I just did my first class 5 in a river with high volume. Its in maine and it normally runs 5k cfs but it was at 8 so it was crazy. We did surfing and almost flipped but stayed safe. There was i think 5 class 5s and 8 class 4s it was pretty fun and crazy. The captain had amazing control of the boat and us and he had only done it for 3 years
I remember seeing those 3 cannons of water and thinking holy … Didn’t realize they changed the put in spot
Yeah, it's all nice and gentle now, relatively speaking.
You're desperately missed, Melissa!
why?
We used to raft with Songer back in the day. It was one of my husbands favorite things. He passed away 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the memories!
Oh, La La, I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like he enjoyed his life to the fullest. -Jay
What's the best month out of the year to hit the lower New River for a rafting trip?
I have rafted this river quite a few times. The scenery is beautiful and the water exciting. A very good time.
Are you a turtle? 😁
Por qué está todo en ingles???
Como me puedo inscribir????
Be nice if you said its actual name. I need one.
Did it with the Ramp and 3 tubes Blowing 1995
I did level 2 and even that I’ll never do again
Do you guide Class 6 at all?
unnavigable
My toxic trait is thinking I can solo kayak class 5 after watching this video.
I've learned that the easier a KZread video makes something look, the harder it really is. I'm mostly watching woodworking videos, but the principle applies to most things.
Your toxic trait is using sentences with the words "toxic trait" in them
Two words: NO THANKS!
went through some class 5 rapids one time. flipped my raft at the top of 5 or 6 drops. was some of the best fun I've ever had
In the 1980s I made a couple of trips to Hawk's Nest State Park. Camping and fishing was main purpose. There was a road through the park. Towards its end, there were several cabins that one could lodge in. But that road, in a less improved manner, went close to all the way down to the river. There was a wide place at bottom to turn around in, or to park one's vehicle. I would park there and then a short hike further. As I recall, we would cross a railroad, then a short hike through a ribbon of woods, and one was at the river. There was a railroad bridge further downstream, but not a real short distance. The river provided several white sand beaches to pitch a tent at. Did so. There was also an abandoned town there, a ghost town. The lone parts of a building left standing was a church, the sides that held the roof in place were still there. The whole area was all covered in brush, but with very little rooting around you could find all kinds of broken bottles. I was told that it was an old town that grew up around Prohibition and was where government people came to party. Advance word would come up the railroad about "revenuers". Although well practiced in internet research, I can not find any reference to this at all anymore. Plus, I think some development there has changed things quite a bit. Fascinating bit of history--West Virginia ghost towns.
I wonder if “little Jim” was Jim Stuart?
Me, not falling out over the course of class -X rapids: "I'm basically a pro."
What is that last rapid?
Second Drop of Lost Paddle on the Upper Gauley.
It looks like I'm class 0....
This looks exciting!
nice 😀 I enjoyed it well edited, my gf enjoyed the video as well 😁
Class V aka FULL SEND
Still remember running Class III rapids up on the Upper Kennebec River in Maine. Great spot
