This is amazing. I've been converting my images in LRC to B&W for years but you've gifted me an exponential increase in knowledge in B&W editing . Thanks heaps.

Thanks for this! If I have missing images or folders but they are all on external drives, can I export my catalogue and just find the missing folders later?

Unfortunately the Development Presets are NOT transfered all this way. I have dozen of Preset Groups in my old Mac computer and only 15 preset groups are included in the "Setting" folder. I doesn't matter if I import the files in the settings folder or copy the whole folder over. Only 1/4 of the preset groups are accessible on the new computer. Especially the "Favorites" are NOT going to be transferred. This is really strange and must be a kind of bug. Any idea, how I can transfer ALL Development Presets?

I found another folder called "importedSettings" which also needs to be transferred 😃

Very informative, thank you, Julieanne. Clearly, I'm not using the Transform tab to its fullest potential. How do you deal with curved horizon lines? On a recent hike in the SW coast in Western Australia, I took a number of coastal panoramas with my phone, and while most were good, some had a section of the horizon curved upwards, which i could not straighten. I liked your photos of the Bungles, i worked on a nearby diamond mine and often flew over them in a helicopter .

Very well done videos, i'm learning a lot. I've noticed that shift-double-clicking Black or White very often (always?) doesn't set them to the corresponding Auto value, but some other value. Any explanation why that may be?

Hi Julieanne, I've just found you on KZread and loving your style and teaching manner. This being an older video has great content but is there a way you could repost as the quality of viewing is difficult. Keep posting your videos they're some of the best instructional ones I've seen.

Very interesting lesson. Great help. Thank you. Two questions: 1. is it possible to define a particular photocell size, e.g., 10x12cm? 2. Is it possible to put in photo text cell EXIF data (e.g., picture creation date)?

I literally want to cry..... I just had all my files transferred 2 days ago by Best Buy, and the files were there, I just had no idea you were supposed to set all this stuff up first, so now I've done everything wrong. My pictures are viewable under "Pictures, but there's no folders or subfolders anymore". Then, I just tried reverting back to the last back up and that wiped out what little folders I had been able to bring back. I just want to scream and get my old LR back! Do you or anyone do private video chats to walk through this? It's a brand new Dell....sigh....

My Primary go-to for Lightroom info, tuts, and suggestions. And now to go back through all Julieanne's videos in here to check what the 'latest' best-practice process flows for importing photos, folder naming best-practice, and keeping Catalogues all working nicely.

Amazing! I didn’t know 1/2 of this and I convert to B&W a good bit. Thanks. I also have Fuji profiles at least in Classic and I also use a Leica Q2M. Could you also do a session on using camera specific profiles and enhancing a monochrome image? Thanks again!

I'm hoping you'll someday do a video on tips for using LR Classic in a hybrid workflow: film negatives > TIFF or DNG scans (e.g., with VueScan) > LR processing. I'd much appreciate your suggestions regarding tone curves, film grain, sharpening, etc., for film scans.

Another great episode in your series. In several episodes, you use images from an Arctic expedition. Can you tell me what company you have used? In the past, I have traveled with Lindblad/Nat Geo, Quark, and Adventure Canada. I've also heard some good things about Aurora expeditions. Do you lead expedition groups/workshops? Thanks.

The thing that is missing form Lightroom Classic keywords is a context-dependent scope. In other words, what we see is all the keywords we have ever created over the lifetime of the app. I would like to see only the keywords relevant to the current collection, so something similar. Does this make sense?

Thank you so much Julieanne for this series of videos. I've been using Lightroom for quite a few years now and I can't believe I never tried clicking on the Adjust HSL Color arrows. I always have it set on HSL. What a revelation it is to have all those color sliders to play with. I'm now wondering what other little corners of Lightroom Classic I need to have a look in. 🙄🙃🙂

Hi Julieanne. I watched several videos of these 3 functions in the Lightroom and I always felt as I didn't understand clearly what are their similarities and differences; however, you really nailed it with this tutorial, it literally cannot be more clear than that. I highly appreciate your efforts, thank you so much for that. From my perspective, the clarity slider is the key one when working on the sky masks - it perfectly recovers the overexposed skies.

The fact that there are no shortcuts to switch between panels ( Basic, Tone Curve, Color Mixer etc...) is typical Adobe...when in the forums people have been asking this for years. Thanks for the video 😊
