    This is actuall rather good and it shows proper tessellations. Many other videos just shiw the sane shape cut out in different colours, placed next to each other. Most even pointing in the same direction, with no tessellation emerging.

    I don't suppose youd know if it would be safe to catch this oxygen in a ballon for the purpose of inhalation? Or would the oxygen propel harmful peroxide fumes into the balloon as well?

  • @edconnected
    @edconnected10 ай бұрын

    I don't know the answer to that. I'd play it safe and not inhale it.

    So after the reaction happens, the solution that created the pure oxygen, is it pure water at that point? And is that technically drinking water ? Sorry if that last question is too far out for you to answer, I know one would have to drink it to get any results.

  • @watchtttpress
    @watchtttpress Жыл бұрын

    I understand what you are asking, but I don't know enough about the reaction to give you an answer. Water of course is H2O, and oxygen is O2. Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2. If only one oxygen atom is coming off of the hydrogen peroxide molecule, it would have to bond with another oxygen from another hydrogen peroxide. That would look like this and would result in some pure water: 2 H2O2 = 2 h2O + O2 However, the pure water would be mixed with yeast. Not very tasty. On the other hand, maybe both of the oxygens release from the hydrogen peroxide leaving the two hydrogen atoms to do something with the yeast. That's getting above my pay grade I'm afraid. Happy teaching, Brad

    is it normal if the mass of the foil and candle increase after I burned it?

  • @watchtttpress
    @watchtttpress3 жыл бұрын

    That is very unusual. I'd suspect error in measurement, but I can't say for sure. The burning converts some of the paraffin into water vapor and carbon dioxide which is lost to the atmosphere, so the candle should lose mass.

  • @treasuremaker5809
    @treasuremaker58093 жыл бұрын

    @@watchtttpress so the wax that burns not the wick right?

  • @watchtttpress
    @watchtttpress3 жыл бұрын

    @@treasuremaker5809 For the most part, yet. The wick cannot burn until the liquid wax in it has burned off. Most of what we see in the flame is the burning paraffin. When you first light a candle, the flame is small, and that is the wick burning.

    bowling: automatic pin-setting machines There are two major brands: AMF and Brunswick It is a miracle of engineering how the machine is able to tell the ball from the complex jumble of fallen pins (dead wood) it's mixed in with so as to route pins and the ball to their correct respective places. Both balls and pins are inert masses. They have no minds or limbs. It's a wonder to me how the ball does not accidentally try to migrate up the pin elevator or wheel or a pin does not try to migrate via the ball wheel or elevator. The machine has to recognize a ball from a mess of pins behind the pin deck somehow and smartly separate them.
