Hi, welcome to Going Places. I create walking, cycling and driving videos, mostly around Sydney. Please consider subscribing to my channel if you would like to see what Sydney is like; including popular tourist destinations to lesser known places of interest, the culturally diverse suburbs and areas beyond.
Thank you

This might be a stupid question but which lane is the fast / passing lane? Left or right?
At the 8,11 mark, you're turning left past a small memorial recording where the first radio message from the UK to Australia was received.
If you'd got there about nine o'clock, you could have seen us and friends at our regular coffee shop in the main street. Our fee to be videoed as happy locals is quite reasonable.
NICE

Unfortunately no. I missed a few things due to time constraints. Thanks for watching 🙂

Nice Video
Thank you for watching and for your feedback!
It's sad to see the dead fish in Santi Chai Prakan Park in Bangkok. It's important for us to take care of our environment and preserve the natural habitats of aquatic life. Let's work together to ensure the health and sustainability of our ecosystems. 🐟🌿💧
Oh, that's very sad to hear. I'm glad to live in a city where some councils are now making more of an effort to protect our environment, and preserve some of the beautiful bushland in and around Sydney.
Awesome footage. Looks very natural. Are you using hidden camera to capture this footage? … no-one seems to notice you 👌
Hi, thank you. Very much appreciate your comment. No hidden camera. I just pretended to be a tourist! :-)
@@im-going-places love it. The videos are great. Excellent quality too!
Great video❤

Thank you. I'll look into it. 👍
Glamorous & clean city
Thanks for watching
Certainly, it is clean, but I've never heard it referred to as glamorous before.
Nice walking tour😍
Thank you for your feedback
20:49 Three ways of viewing that enclosure. First was upper. Under the second which was lower must be aquarium-tank-glass, making that third. Am I right?
I'm not sure if it's two or three. At the top, you can view the enclosure from a short bridge and from a few vantage points around it. There is also the area where the seal show is conducted, but I'm not sure if it's connected to the same tank. In the lower section, there appears to be several different sections where you can view the seals, and perhaps a separate enclosure for the penguins. The penguins can also be viewed from outside. I hope that helps.
Love this zoo. Great video! 👍
Thank you! Definitely a great place to visit.
St Joseph's College is not locate in Hornsby, it is in Hunter Hills! I think it's should be Barker College instead!
Thanks for the correction. I might have been thinking St Leo's, but that's Wahroonga. You're right though, Barker is there as well. Cheers
Long drive boss most never heard places nice driving though.
Thanks. It's a nice drive when traffic isn't heavy. Some good spots to stop and explore the bush as well, with wide trails and not far from homes, shops etc
@ Sydney, Australia
Nice drive you make so easy drive stop at the lights go all the way not stop great love the view amazing thank you more videos liked coming . Btw i am from liverpool.
Nice, I'm familiar with Liverpool. I have friends in nearby Casula, Wattle Grove and Bass Hill. Thank you for your comment.
My aim in life is car driver in long road but I have no car so I see road trips in KZread
I hope you can achieve your goal. Good luck and thanks for watching.
Great video. It is nice to know the meaning of Kirribilli in aboriginal language. Just out of my curiosity, did you hand hold your camera? Thanks.
Yes, for all the walking parts of the videos, I hand hold my camera. I mostly rely on the in-camera stabilisation to keep things as smooth as possible. Thanks for watching.
I spent my 12th birthday visiting this place back when it was known as Taronga Park Zoo! Dayum, it's changed! !! !
You're not wrong! The Australian animal bit at the start of the video only opened a few months back apparently. Looking good now
OMG STREWTH Talk about blast from the past!!! I used to live in Carrington Rd., Wahroonga, & went to school at Knox from 1979-1983!!! !!! !!!
Yeah, nice part of Sydney. Great up this way if you're into bushwalking or mountain biking. So many trails!
❤❤❤❤😊
Thanks for watching. Have a good day

Having caught thousands of trains over the years which stopped at Waverton, I decided to investigate the suburb. One morning recently I alighted at Waverton and walked to Balls Head reserve, stopping for coffee on the way back. A pleasant suburb, but not sure I'd like to live in some of those little cottages.
Yes, I find Waverton a mixed bag. The suburb seems to mostly consist of apartments/units, especially going toward the Pacific Highway; although there are a few free standing homes along Crows Nest Rd and a few other streets. I think the appeal of Waverton is its proximity to the CBD and the harbour views (especially good for New Years Eve fireworks). Thanks for watching.
Thank you, very nice video!
Thanks for watching, and thank you for your comment
I enjoyed your tour! Good luck, new sub! 🙏
Hi, thank you so much for your support! I'll have to look at your channel. My family and I hope to travel to your part of the world in the next 18 months. Should be helpful with planning our itinerary 🙂
I would like to come here once 😁
I think you would like it. Around the harbour is especially beautiful, as are the beaches
Driving has it's own flavour 😅❤
Yes it does. I hope you enjoyed the video.
Why didn't you just take the M1
Ha ha yes, I could have gone that way which is quicker (which I've partly covered in another video). Just showing an alternative I haven't driven in a while. Interesting to see some of the changes around Redfern/Eveleigh.

Thank you, very good overview of the Australian Museum! Estonian teacher.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yes thanks from the united state's in texas. Interesting museum. I will never travel there. Didn't know it existed. But I was born in Chicago, and besides deep dish Pizzas, the museum was in the family's budget. So I always loved them. I always wondered what all the world's museums look like. So thanks 😂
