Wonderful research and lecture by Dr. Shirley Green. I am so glad I heard it. My mother, Eloise May Haight McKinley of Quaker heritage, would have liked hearing the lecture. Kathleen McKinley Harris, Shelburne, Vt.

An excellent presentation. I would like to have asked the scholar, did the German impression of Rebel soldiers change over the course of the war from their first impressions of being villains who shoot from behind walls and hedges and towards the end of the war about the time after Yorktown and 1782?
