Few years ago I bought an old Suzuki Grand Vitara and I love it. I knew this "new" generation some months ago in a showroom and I didn't like it as much as the old one, but I know that Suzuki build cars strong as a rock and very, very reliable, so this generation is a good car, it's a fact. On the other hand, I'm in love with the new Duster. In love! The design, simplicity, well built, good off road capabilities and good engine options, and the price seduced me. I love that car! So, the Suzuki is a good, good product, but personally I prefer the new Dacia Duster, Thanks for this comparison! 🚙🚙😉👍

Suppose that the Renault Group made the similar spec Suzuki Vitara 4x4 with Hybrid Tec, what would be the price? More or less than Duster?
It would probably be more expensive. A plus 2000 euro at least
They are two very durable and capable workhorses. It's not easy to breakdown a Vitara, similarly not difficult to repair a current Duster.
Automatic transmission can make a difference when you make a purchasing decision.

While definitely the haldex system in the Tiguan gives it an advantage, I think it's ultimately the tire choice that makes the biggest difference
if you used duster in auto mod, duster will be 1.

@@DusterCoolTravelsThis is a complete disappointment for me. With my 2016 model diesel 110 horsepower duster, I can climb steeper places without any difficulty, even though there is much more snow on the ground. Even though it is not a straight route, but a winding route.

Mihai, this is a PRESS release - don´t believe anything! The trail has been made to fit for the Duster´s capabilities. Beside that, the only improvement I see are the bigger wheels!🤣I guess you make a big mistake there, 18" rims says NOTHING about wheel size as long as you don´t know the tire size (and yes, wheels are slightly bigger now ~1,4cm). Bigger wheels are ALWAYS better offroad and you can be shure that they will not touch anything otherwise the car will never get a street license. Your and mine Duster II already move without trottle if the the road isn´t to steep.😃 Due to automatic idle rpm increase, not because "torque". Duster III torque is definitivly worse than the existing 4wd Dusters (no matter if gasoline or diesel). Electronics are the ONLY way to help offroad if you have no mechanical locker. One of the shortfalls of the existing 4wd-Duster are old controls of wheelspin and intelligent software. And I doubt that your rear differential will ever gets overheatet 😂as it does almost nothing. I guess you´re talking about the power distribution front to rear (central diff via clutch). I´m not 100% shure, but overheating more likely is generated by clutch slip, in theory 100% lock front to rear should not generate stress = heat (compare to the engine / gearbox clutch).

I just did an unvolontary EGR delete on my 2016 Duster. On a rock. Definitely going to look for a skidplate.
The choice of engine seems to be the biggest complaint so far for the new 2024 Duster...should have kept the Diesel 1.5 and the spare wheel for the 4 x 4
The 18 inch wheel is not bigger then the 17 inch
100% correct! It´s just slightly bigger than the existing Duster II (thanks Dacia).

Is the 4x4 automatic?
No
The very basic trim(4x2) in Portugal comes with 215/70 r16 tires! These are the real deal for off roading! I think the low rpm torque comes from the mild hybrid system. IMO, short suspension travel is the weakest part of its off-road capabilities. And, I think they don't change it😢. But overall, I like this new generation!
Inreally like the new duster. Can’t wait to get mine. But I’ll change some things I noticed on the reviews as soon as I get my car. I’ll install some sound deadening, upgrade all the lights to led, get the double trunk floor from the journey for my extreme. Get other rims since the there aren’t much good tires in the 18“ size. And the funny little rear wiper will get deleted. It’s so small it’s kinda useless, but I want to install a mirror dashcam which shows me a camera image, that should increase the rear visibility and look better
And the 18“ rims are optional on the extreme. I ordered mine with 17“ but I’ll get a second set in another size which is better for the way I want to use the car
On my preorder I got the 18” ones. 😁

in Italy there are 17-inch wheels as standard and 18-inch ones are optional, in fact I'm fine with the standard ones. Deegre of inclination is 26

very good points (wheel size, new exhaust position....and more).....in my case, I still plan to drive my D2 for as long as no "big" problems arise....but, one thing I am sure, following your channel in the next months (year?) I expect soon to see real world/first hand impressions on the version you will achieve to purchase....so....staying connected 🥰👍

I have seen multiple videos from this event, informations given by journalists are sometimes contradictory, gearbox stayed the same/ 1gear is even shorter/ 1 gear is just good enough not too short so you don't have to start in 2nd gear, most are saying that 1.2tce 3banger is fine but I have found 1 honest review when journalist drove 2wd and AWD variant and said that AWD gearing is much better for that little engine, some were stating same weight as 2.gen, some were qouting figures about 100kg higher for each variant compared to 2.gen, interior info was also sometimes not correct (seats, options etc.) 4x4 drivetrain seems to be same as 2.gen (no need to develop and desing upgrades (saving money) since later AWD will have electric motor for rear axle) fact is that car's weight has increased but has less power and bigger tires that increase gear ratios, doesn't help in offroad situations 1 journalist said that clutch on tested car was getting abused and wore quickly, I can only imagin how long it will last compared to previous generations.
what about snow chains ? what about the difference in weight ? It would be very interesting to compare two cars with snow chains but different weight! Will the heavier car slip sideways or not?

Этот Duster делали инженеры или опять маркетологи? Мой 2022 года замучал ломаться, эксплуатация в основном по трассе.
Кузов такой же, гуляет и скрипучий на перекосах?

В России Логаны и Сандэро пользовались хорошим спросом но из-за санкций Европы против России Рено потеряло хороший рынок сбыта а россияне без машин не остались, альтернатива всегда есть!
Да, а я его ждал. Хотел свой второй логан поменять. Ну видимо не судьба. Буду пока на своем гонять. А рынок прос...ли знатно !

Muy bueno tu canal, esperando tu prueba del nuevo Duster, ahí si veremos que diferencias hay con el anterior. En una prueba del canal "Diariomotor" comentaban eso mismo de la primera marcha, que era mas corta,entre 4 y 5 klm/h,eso seria muy interesante,esperemos que el menor par que tiene lo supla con esa primera,algo ayudaría, supongo.
