Been riding for a long time.. going from Cruiser to Sport Bike and even then on the Sport Bike I treat myself like a rookie all over again. Love little videos like this to either remind myself of the basics or learn new tips. Thank you :)

ive been riding over 30yrs now and i daily a bike but i started as a kid with a little 80cc Suzuki and i went to a ZX6 and then to a Gixxr 750 and so on..2 days to get L's is crazy
@@Casey_E it is absolutely crazy
I took the course through a University program, it was literally 2 days lol. 9am to 6pm Friday and Saturday, written and riding. It was really nice because it was state funded in Illinois and only $20 which you could rebate or allow the program to keep it. That being said I rode residential for a good month or two before getting into busy streets to eventually highway. Everyone is different absolutely but taking your time and keeping within your skillset is key.
So many videos of American riders - so many dont wear any protective gear. Naked arms ---- Crayton territory if you come off. Saying that, riding home from work last week in 30 degree plus (UK heat) was savage with a leather jacket on.

Gear is so expensive 😫 i wear a cheap moto jacket from amazon and then a hoodie over it, ankle shoes, gloves and helmet. I honestly would have wanted to do more parking lot training but if i want to ride at all i just gotta go. I also dropped my bike for the first time ever on a hill 😅 i avoid that hill now 😂
thats a good thing to acknowledge though, find some small hills and practice coming to a stop at the crest or base and getting going again.

You can't keep this mindset, or else when something goes wrong you'll immediately be in a lot of danger. Invest in gear. It's so much more important than the bike you're on (but as important as it's maintenance!) If you fall with cheap synthetic gear you won't be able to ride at all because of injuries, but you'll have to toss your gear away because one fall and it's gone. Find a moment and go back on that hill to practice. Avoiding an issue somewhere will lead to new issues if you don't learn Ride safe man
@naumen6508 I haven't been able to find a job in almost two years. As soon as I have money I will buy the proper gear until then I have absolutely no choice but to use what I have so if I get hurt I get hurt and if I die well then I guess I won't be stressed about bills anymore.

@xmotojack oh definitely and I'm listening to my body and I only ride with a clear mind and enough energy so I can be quick to react. I'm out of rain mode on the z900 but I'm staying in road mode for a lot of practice before I go to sport mode. Cause that's the full 900 power and I'm not too proud to admit I'm learning and being safe with it

Precisely why I bought my 25 grom there will be bigger bikes someday but getting my fundamentals and learning to clutch up and hit balance point on this thing will teach me a hell of a lot more than getting on a 600 for a first bike. Plus it’s forgiving enough to not kill you when you make a mistake but let u know u messed up
