    I have this mount. Truly amazing. I use it in a home gym - whether you're standing, sitting on a bike, sitting in a rower, or stretching on the floor, the height adjustability gives you tremendous flexibility to optimize the viewing position.

    Update to this comment. I was able to connect with ErgoDirect and following some specialized set of instructions from the manufacturer was able to get the chair to work.. thanks to Ergo for following through and helping to make the situation right. Inwould suggest ErgoDirect do a video on how to make those special adjustments for those chairs.

    @@Brazerker We checked with the manufacturer. At this time they only have written instructions for adjusting the chair backrest. However, that is a great idea. We'll try to create a video or animation to show the same. Thank you for the suggestion.

    The counterbalance is obvious, as there are screws. But many people have a different problem where the sliders get misaligned and they having trouble getting the Ergotron WorkFit-S Sit-Stand Workstation to go up all of the way (only 2-5 inches above the back neck, when it should be travel about 6-7 inches above the back neck). If you notice your unit isn't going up quite all of the way, try clearing your work space, placing your hands underneath and at the back center of the work space, and then "lift with all of your might". That should realign the sliders so that your work space travels the full distance up and down.

    Unsafe and a CODE VIOLATION: Mounting a power strip to furniture, a wall, or any object. Read up on codes with OSHA and the National Fire Protection Association (both USA). << [edit: NFPA]

  • @ErgoDirectSanCarlos
    @ErgoDirectSanCarlos7 жыл бұрын

    Hey, thanks for getting in touch. Would you be able to provide a link so we can make sure our power strip is safe?

  • @Well_possibly
    @Well_possibly7 жыл бұрын

    Here is a helpful OSHA Training page to read, especially the paragraph under the 2 photos. www.oshatraining.com/Violations-OSHA-Electrical-Standards-Power-Strips.php In any case, I would be concerned for three key reasons: 1) If a power strip arcs and starts on fire, you cannot quickly move it away from flammable material. 2) If water is spilled, the surface tension can cause the water to trickle under a table and reach the live power strip. I wouldn't want to touch an electrified puddle of water! 3) Power strip failures do not always trip a breaker in building's electrical panel or in the power strip.

  • @Well_possibly
    @Well_possibly7 жыл бұрын

    At 0:17 your video's mounting instructions include: use a "15 feet long power cable" but that is against what the OSHA Training website I linked states. It states: (power strips are) "...not intended to be series connected (daisy chained) to other relocatable power taps or to extension cords." Online sources reveal this causes overheating and potential fires.

  • @ErgoDirectSanCarlos
    @ErgoDirectSanCarlos7 жыл бұрын

    Hello again. Just wanted to clarify that our power strip has a 15 foot cord by itself. It is not attached or plugged into another cord, so not daisy chained.

  • @ErgoDirectSanCarlos
    @ErgoDirectSanCarlos7 жыл бұрын

    1) Could you expand on your first point? During an electrical fire, it's recommended that you unplug the electrical device from the wall, or use an appropriate fire extinguisher if that is not possible. Our power strip plugs in to the wall up to 15 feet away from the power strip so a fire originating from the strip itself could be put out by unplugging it from the wall. We do not recommend touching a device that is on fire. For 2) and 3) Water is much more likely to drip onto the floor. However, we agree that any power strip that comes into contact with water could be dangerous. We agree power failures are a risk of most electrical devices. However, if there is an electrical fire manually disconnecting the device from the wall is recommended.

    Can you adjust the height while in retracted mode?

  • @ErgoDirectSanCarlos
    @ErgoDirectSanCarlos8 жыл бұрын

    In retracted mode, the arm will go up 8.3" but it will not go down (its usual 4.7" in a non-retracted position). This is because the arm will hit the pole it's mounted on if you try to pull it down.

    I was looking to getting something like this. I moved into a student house, and I live in the attic. I need a T.V. wall mount that can adjust vertically as well as horizontally and can tilt a bit. Where can I pick one of these up?

  • @Sergiuss555

    do you make custom solutions? here is my situation: there is a tough TV pole (~58 mm diameter) with a monitor attached on top of it. i want 2 or 3 arms to be held on the pole below the monitor: - one for a keyboard (+mouse) - one for a laptop - one to hold a tablet each arm should be extendable up to 100 mm. maximal freedom for horizontal rotation as long as height adjustment is appreciated. what would be your suggestion? being able to stick arms to my custom pole (and have them being able to rotate) is what worries me most. thanks a lot.
