Hunter Routh

Hunter Routh

Hey, everyone! Welcome to my channel! I mainly just share just videos of myself or my buddies playing guitar. I don't have a format to what I do. I'd like to do some higher quality videos at some point. But then again, there's a million others already doing it. So I just throw it up raw and try to make it sound as good as possible. God bless, and thanks for checking my channel out!

P.S.
If you're interested in hiring me for any session work or live performances. Just message me on my insta: hunterrouthmusic
Thank you!

    I just ordered my Cap MJR based on this review. I already have a Cap TAT and was debating about a few others, but after I read your discription of the neck, it was exactly what I needed to know. Thanks.

    Man! That means a lot! I was hoping to help purchasers in that regard. Hope it's everything you want! BTW for proper setup, make sure you set the tremolo backward along with the body if you're getting the Prominence MJR. If it's the OG MJR, just set it normal. I didn't realize this when I had mine for a bit. Hence why I'm mentioning it to you.

    Hey dude did i see you play a Wizard in another video? If so would you pick the SLO or the Wizard if you could only have one?

  • @HunterRouth
    @HunterRouthАй бұрын

    Such a great question, but really, they are different animals. If you're asking between my OG SLO-100, then that one because my playing sounds better through it or it fits my style more. But between it and an SLO30. The Wizard 50 Watt. It's just preference at the end of the day. If you want more Raw Marshall, Wizard. If you want a 3D sound that fills the room, Soldano.

    How do you make that sound pinching bend sound

  • @HunterRouth
    @HunterRouth28 күн бұрын

    It's kind of hard to explain... But it's basically letting the flesh slightly hit the string along with the pick. Then you try to find the harmonics along the strings after the fretboard with the notes your fretting on the fretboard. Sorry if that doesn't make sense. Mainly just practice the pick technique.

    So crazy bright and no substance, I doubt Eddie ever used this for any amount of time, it really is unusable. Taking it out of my Custom Shop Charvel that I waited 3 years for and its a masterbuilt instrument. It rings like a bell, It came with a Jeff Beck and sounded great and then when I put this pickup in I was like Wear did all the mids go it almost sounds like a single coil and its not polite sounding at all in any of the frequencies.

  • @HunterRouth
    @HunterRouth28 күн бұрын

    I honestly love this pickup, and so do my other friends. I would definitely prefer it to have a little more output but then again that's not why it was made. I think you can only use this pickup for certain guitar. Mine happens to be Ash and while it doesn't fully capture it in this video. Many of my friends think this is my best sounding guitar. And I own a JP13 and a 1974 Gibson LPC. Which both are fantastic tone wise as well.

  • @NoneMcNobody
    @NoneMcNobody27 күн бұрын

    @@HunterRouth It's a great sounding pickup when used with the right guitar, amp, EQ, etc. which pretty much describes all pickups. I've seen Ossie Ahsen, Peter Thon, Jim Gausted and others get KILLER tones with the 78.

These backhanded compliments from people that wish they could shred are really getting old.
