I sorely miss the MD-90 and I thought you could never get audio this clear from an A320-232. I thought the V2500s had to be on the tail for clean engine sound with no thrust sound.

The air sock towards the end sure indicates the velocity and direction, it’s common for on shore cross winds at Lihue and the Kona winds are not as common when landings are done on runway 21 and takeoffs are done on runway 17.

Beautiful takeoff. I love the sound of the CFM56 -- it's music to my ears. From the high pitched whine of the turbomachinery, to the loud buzz produced by the supersonic fan blades, to the rumble of the exhaust, it all just sounds so pleasant together. It's like a symphony. Also, I've never seen a pilot keep it at full power for so long. I noticed power was slightly reduced at 2:44, but then increased back to full power at 3:30. Must've been in a hurry!

Climb thrust at 2:44, passing speed/alt constraint at 3:30
@airplanemode2087 Жыл бұрын
yea so on the airbus series, at least most aircraft including the a321, an alert pops up on the PFD/display in front of them after takeoff saying "LVL CLB" indicating that they need to bring the power back so that it can be at its climb thrust value. generally, after a short time, the speed restriction will increase, and as a result, the power will be pushed back up so as to provide more speed for the plane.
