Tuning and string brand/gauge? I just bought one. flat black, etc.. and had a set up done at GC because that’s where I bought it had it tuned to drop A# with daddario 13-62 on it. Just got home and it is Bzzzz city !!!! Like WTF can’t even play simple Breaking Benjamin songs without it buzzing on a bar chord. So needless to say, I’m taking that SOB back up there. Question is I’ve been told by several people I don’t need to use baritone strings on this guitar since it’s only 27 but someone else told me that when they got theirs the grooves in the nut were initially cut too deep and it caused buzzing so I might just buy a Graphite, graphite, and have it set up somewhere else. Have you tried playing guitar in? Because I will mostly be in A# or Drop B They also told me I had to use baritone strings and I was just like dude the scale is only 27 that’s not much of a difference than 25.5. Only thing I would be maybe a little concerned with was intonation. What’s your set up on this guitar? What have you done to it?
Only way to get buzzing out is proper neck adjustment and intonation also action (string height) can cause buzzing. So if you watch some videos on how to set up a guitar just take it slow and you could do it at home.
Drop C, DR Strings DDT 12-60.
@@LateHonkola I’ve been having nothing but problems from mine even after a set up even tho it’s a baritone. So you’re tuning that thing up to drop c with no issue? Might me a manufacturer flaw in mine. Sad thing it’s on back order now. What modifications have u done to it? Drop c and drop a# are my go toes. But it’s feet buzz city no matter who sets it up. Even tho the but looks fine and have raised string height considerably. And are those a baritone string set or just standard string set
@@feedthewolf6930 Even if the Finland's climate is pure nightmare to the adjustments of the guitars, I haven't have any issues with this one. Just regular maintenance once in a while, for example beside the restringing. Checking the string height, the neck carve and adjusting the truss rod etc... For the buzzing issue I suggest you should definitely adjust the truss rod and the string height.
@@LateHonkola I had a tech do all that and it’s still doing it. Mine is just the ec 1000 baritone. Don’t believe it has evertune. Is this not the baritone? And if it standard model have u tried drop A#?
Komee veto. Olis kiva tekasta jotaki yhessä?
Moro!

Ääni vuan parantuu punkkarillakii 👏🔥🔥
What is the scale length on this guitar? How is the quality overall on this LTD? Sick tune btw 🤘🏼
It's 27". Qualitywise is equal compared to the 1000-series guitars. Honestly, this guitar is most close to the E-II than LTD can ever be. Really well built instrument.
@@LateHonkola That's good to know ! I was considering the new LTD Arrow 7 string Baritone with the evertune. I have the E-II M-II 7 string which is a fantastic quality instrument but the scale length is just 25.5
they put an emg in the wrong one...
This is no baritone.
Yes, it is. The scale lenght is 686 mm (27"), measured it myself. And that low F# wouldn't play that good with the regular 24,75" scale.
@@LateHonkola you didnt measure it correct. It is just a regular Eclipse, they had for sale during the standard series up to 2012. They never made any Eclipse guitars with 22 frets as a baritone.
@@Mongorat I measured it correctly (the distance between the nut and bridge). That is a one of a kind special order which was ordered from Musamaailma by the previous owner in 2011.
@@LateHonkola and the bridge is the tail piece next to the bridge pickup and not the bar, where you put the strings thru. And a baritone with 22 frets is pretty much impossible.
Felt like I was watching air guitar lol
Sounds awesome 👏🏻
Vihdoin sain saman kepin ja kyllä nyt on tyytyväinen mies 🎉 Tosi hyvä käteen, äänet selkeät ja onhan tuo hienoin keppi!
Toi M-7 on kyllä LTD-malliston aatelia, itselläkin ihan ehdoton ykkösseiska mörkövirehommissa!
I've been looking at reviews and finally somebody who's playing something other than 0 - 0 - 00 - 00000 - 0 - 0
So crispy, many tones 🔥🤌
Is that Drop D#/Eb (an octave down) standard or is only the 6th string dropped?
The 6th string is dropped a full step compared to other strings, the 5 other strings are basically in A# standard tuning (D#-A#-D#-G#-C-F).
@@LateHonkola Thank you for replying and the info.
i just bought this guitar for both of my prog metal projects im so in love! i love the tone so much! you make this guitar shine for sure!
Это охуе##о!❤
Et arvaa mikä Meshuggahin biisi lähti soimaan päässä?

Btw, onko ihan alkuperäinen (stock) SD Blackened tallamikki?
Juu, kyllä on!
@@LateHonkola Törkeen hyvän kuulonen.

Hola sabes si necesito para mí guitarra un ampli o puedo conectar el aparato este y cascos directos a el? Gracias de antemano
Sorry but I don't understand Spanish, but if Google Transalate translated your comment correctly, you don't need an amp. You can connect your guitar and headphones straight to the Pockrock.
@@LateHonkola thanks you for you soon comment :)
awesome guitar man 🔥🔥🎸🎸🤘🤘
super cool bro 👏👏🤘🤘
Thats sick man great work! 🔥
Damn, such a sick axe dude! Love that finish.
Dat low F# thou 🫠🫠
This is THE best metal video released at present how this hasn’t got multi-million views yet is a total mystery! Man you are a legend! Thank you for this! Just placed an order for the ESP Baritone 7 String has as I already have the drop pedal I cannot wait to get it in a few days 🤘🎸
Thank you for your kind words! 🙏🤘
cool pedal 👏👏🤘🤘
awesome 🤘🤘
On kyllä hienon näköinen kitara. Katsoin liikkeen myynti-ilmoitusta. Suhteellisen nopeasti hävisi myynnistä. 😅
hey man awesome demo, i’m thinking of buying this guitar and i play mostly deathcore, slam and hardcore stuff. would you say those seymour duncan pickups would be good for that kind of stuff?
They're PERFECT for that. Especially that Black Winter.
@@LateHonkola Perfect! i’ve only just heard about these guitar about 2 weeks ago and i’ve heard literally nothing but good things about them, so thank you for replying i’m definitely going to have to pick one of these up for myself.
Killer tone!!! Great playing

Hyvä ku näitä äijät muistaa
it’s very produced…that’s not a bad thing. I think any other guitar could have sounded the same with all of the post production in the mix. I’m wondering if you just wanted to produce a video, and “demo-ing” this guitar was just an excuse? I’m not mad about it, that’s just my first impression. It would have been nice to hear the guitar isolated, without effects. Since it seems like this was probably some solo material that you are trying to put out there, my advice would be to cut your sections and riffs shorter, or add some variance to the riffs. there’s good stuff there, it’s hard to stay engaged when it’s so diluted though. nothing against midi drums either but damn, these drums were really simple, and boring. keep at it man, with your video production skills alone you could do some cool stuff.
If I'm making demos or anything, I want to do it as "big" as possible. Playing random stuff with only the guitar is boring in my opinion. I want to make content that is as close as I like to watch myself. My point in demoing is to use as many guitar tones as possible (cleans, and a couple of different gain tones), so people can hear how the guitar sounds IN THE MIX. And yes, MIDI drums are MIDI drums. It's just my way to do things.
favorite brand especially hollow body
What? This is like the only video of u playing this beautiful Gretsch baritone what happened?!
I actually sold that last autumn.. 😅 It was a good guitar, but the scale and overall lenght of the guitar made it too clumsy for my live playing... I really tried, but I just didn't get used to it. Especially 'cause the music we're playing in my band Kollectivist is quite technical. The 29.75" scale is just too long for my playing, I prefer 27". And the pickups need A LOT of boost...
Video looks great dude! What are you filming with?
If I remember it right, this was filmed with Canon EOS M10 and was edited with iMovie. Nowadays I use Canon EOS R8 and DaVinci Resolve.
gretsch becoming loved metal guitars is one of the funniest developments of the past few years.
Distortion gear?
All the gain is coming from the TSE BOD plugin, it's all digital.
@@LateHonkola Thank You!
This is amazing, do you have a project that sounds like this?
My solo music (as "Late Honkola") sounds pretty close to this. This song is actually composed for that project.
sounds great
anyone know the angle of the headstock?
No clue about that...
bro how can i get ur vocals?
