Game three was a masterpiece David Wright going yard. Thor throwing 100 at Escobar first pitch of the game. Mondesi pinch hitting just was the cherry on top. Overall it was one of those games that make me appreciate the sport of baseball.

I used to hate the Sox until my Cubs won in 2016, now I don’t root for the Sox but I want them to be good for the sake of the city. Also lots of Chicago legends on this team, I just wish Frank Thomas could have played, he’s one of the GOATs and doesn’t get enough recognition in my opinion. EDIT: Konerko and Buerlhe are also absolute Chicago legends

Alright, I solved the mystery. They're prismarine crystals. If you had prismarine crystals in a chest on Xbox 360/PS4 and ported the world to bedrock the prismarine crystals (stacks included, so you can get 64 glowsticks even tho they don't stack.) would turn into Item.glow_stick.black.name. Idk if it still happens

I remember the Soto moment man. I was at that game, up in the top deck on the third base line. When he hit that and it got past Grisham the whole stadium was rocking, we were all jumping up and down everyone was high fiving and hugging each other and throwing beer. That was the loudest and most rowdy I have ever seen that stadium, even more than a world series game I went to there.

I had just moved to the DFW area in Texas after living in cities where the Major League Baseballs teams were terrible and fully embraced the chance to watch the Rangers play in the playoffs in 2010. My first postseason game in person was Game 3 of the ALDS against the Rays which they lost, but still managed to make it all the way to the World Series. I splurged on World Series tickets for Game 4 and was hoping the Rangers can climb back into the series, but instead I watched Mad Bum pick up his first World Series win. It was a terrible Series for the Rangers and their fans, but I'll never forget it.

As a dodgers fan, it was painful. In 2009 both the dodgers and angels made it to the LCS but lost to the Phillies and Yankees respectively and it was worse seeing the angels division rival and the dodgers arch rivals knocking out the 2009 World Series contestants. The dodgers most hated rivals would end their drought and in 2011 giants fan Bryan stow was brutally beaten at dodger stadium.

Slight correction: the A's did not fall off after 2020. In 2021, they were actually 86-76, 10 games over .500 but didn't make the playoffs due to that only being good for third in the AL west. After that season, Bob Melvin, both Matt's and Sean Manaea, left, and Frankie Montos was traded mid-season completeing their destruction

This is a stupid premise. Pretty sure that a franchise's first championship in 56 years, and first in its current city, against an opponent playing in its first World Series, is not just 'something that happened, but nobody remembers'.

i actually agree with what you said about john sadak, the reds announcer. he's a really good successor to thom brenneman and i think he deserves some love as there's a drive into deep left field by castellanos it will be a home run. and so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame.

You’re right about the World Series being very “mid” this year. But you’re dead wrong about this team being a “bleh” team. You have to realize that three years prior the Tigers went 43-119 and looked forever doomed, not making a playoff appearance since 1987. That Tigers team came out of nowhere. It was loaded with talent. Verlander won the ROY, Joel Zumaya was hitting 105 before a guy named Chapman did that on a regular basis, the line up was loaded with talent. Pudge, Chris Shelton with his amazing one month, later replaced by Sean Casey, one of the best pure hitters I’ve ever watched in Placido Polanco, Carlos Gullien, that bum Brandon Inge had his best season ever, Craig Monroe - who hit 17! 17! Home runs in the 7th inning or later that season, 27 on the year, Granderson, who was a budding star and the always dependable Ordonez. That was not just some “meh” team. That was a great squad filled with young and the right vets. They needed Leyland to bring it all together and they did. And that’s another thing, Leyland hadn’t managed in SIX YEARS! In his first year back he takes a team that hadn’t won anything in almost 2 decades to the World Series. Good video, but man, you got that part wrong.
