My original desire 3 months ago was Lindstrom. The injury news has me worried about that, BUT, IF the Habs draft him I have to believe they did their medical due diligence. I just want offensive help... Wether that means Lindstrom or Demidov OR like you mentioned, Ze'ev combined with a trade I don't care. I also would love to see them get the 10th pick as well (I have heard rumors), for Eiserman, or Iginla or whoever for the offense.

I would love IGINLA, but insiders has confirmed they are not looking at IGINLA at 5th sadly. They has Demidov, Lindstrom, Sennecke, Buium in that order as a list for the 5th pick.

I have a strong feeling both Demidov and Lindstrom will be gone, even by the fifth pick. I doubt the Habs pick a D-man even though there will be some "really" good ones available. I hope you guys pick Iginla. I think he would fit in very well with what the Habs have been building. He's a solid player with a very good skill set. Not huge but not small by any means. He's also not elite but does have star level potential. An easy future top six forward, maybe even top line.

Demidov would be great but Iginla would be a good fallback. Lindstrom' s back makes me question how healthy he would be for the 25/26 Cup run. Four series of playoff hockey is brutal.

Demidov would seem the smart pick but who knows. I am not a fan of Iginla because having watched team Canada not knowing anything about the team or players I came away stating Gavin MCkenna was their best player and he was only 15.So the 15 yr old was imo BETTER than Iginla and that is not a good thing. Lindstrom also played on Gavin's team where Gavin was the leading scorer but of course Lidstrom was injured most of the year. However in the playoffs Cayden was ho hum sort of reminds me of the lackluster playoff Wright had that lowered his value. Sadly I like 3 D Parehk/Dickinson and Biume so that leaves perhaps Catton or maybe Sennecke as another option. IMO Tij is only a 10-15 pick I don't see much upside as his skills are rather average across the board but he is well rounded.

You cannot pass over Iginla Tij, absolutaly not even if its Demidov! Not sure Tij Will still be available at five! Remember, remember Reinbacher last june; he was ranking at the same spot tij is right now, around tenth overall. Tij is the right fit for MTL; NHL ready, bigger, tougher , taller, better goal scorer than Demidov's lack of competiveness in Russia as a big concern for many GMs. Habs: don't pass this kid ....you'll regret it!!!

Tij Iginlas has the ability to impact the lineup in many different ways, he would be the most versatile and valuable player for a playoff team. Even if his potential only serves as a 3rd line player. The quality in his character is unmatched in this draft class.

I would be DEVASTATED if the Blackhawks didn't select Demidov at #2, I've wanted him since last year to play w Bedard I can't believe they got the perfect pick to get him, I know everyone wants the #1 pick but I wanted the Hawks to stay at #2, Demidov has the highest potential of all players in this draft

Thanks for talking about Demidov. As soon as a team drafts a D 2nd, 3rd or 4th Montreal will have the opportunity to draft either Demidov, Lindstrom or Iginla depending on availability. I want to make an observation to our host about Demidov. I heard on many sites that Demidov had a skating problem, that's not true. This is not a default, it's a characteristic. Many Russian players learn at a very young age to cut and change direction using the outside skate as in alpine skiing. This technique allows you to maintain excellent posture and perfect control of the puck. I noticed this many, many years ago. Unfortunately, many amateur and even professional recruiters have no idea about skating mechanics. Iginla has some of the best skating mechanics in the draft and he seems, like his father, to be extremely strong in his lower body and this is often a guarantee of long-term success in the NHL. KK who had many qualities, had one of the worst skating mechanics and Timmins drafted him 3rd, that is to say that Timmins was a mediocre recruiter.

@@the.wayne.b We don't have a lot of video material to judge definitively its ability to work in tight spaces but what we see is that it is very solid so Suzuki or Caufield don't have a problem I don't see too much of a problem for him in this regard. He must finish his contrat next year so he'll be free at the end of the 2025 season. I would take Iginla who is the prospect with the most mature game at only 17 years old. To the surprise of many I believe Iginla will be drafted 2, 3 or 4. Demidov his a great option 👌🏼

You have to draft the best player available!!! If its a defenseman at number 5 then trade the pick and move back to where you can get a forward or centre as the best pick. That being said I would not trade back. You want the best player and moving back doesn't get that.
