how did you find the change to SHerco?
@guillytravels Жыл бұрын
It's slightly smaller than the 2017 Te300 Husqvarna which suits me better (I'm 1,7m high). My Serco is 250cc so less power, and it's noticeable. Although you get used to it quick. My 2019 model vibrates a little bit and its annoying in comparison to the Husky, no counter balance on Serco's till 2021 I think. Suspensions are great, however I should be running lighter springs with my 70kg because right now I have all the compression clicks wide open. Running 13 front sprocket and 51 rear, also a high compression cylinder head. Really like the build on these bikes, and all the extras you get with the Factory model. If I had the option, I'd have bought the 300.
@danhopkinson2811 Жыл бұрын
@@guillytravels I test rode a 300 se a few weeks ago in Toowoomba and thought it felt smaller than my EXC. I had a 250tpi though so for me the Sherco had more grunt, especially noticeable in the bottom end. I also agree with you on the vibration, I think you're right that they counter balanced from 21, but I still really felt it on the 2023. not the end of the world but you get used to the tpi's being so smooth aye. i wasn't so keen on the build quality of the bike, I felt like things like the kickstand, throttle/map switch were cheap feeling and flimsy and that the plastics seemed different to other brands. glossy and brittle feeling. however I agree on the extras you get with the factory model. They're over 2.5k cheaper than the basic EXC but you get over 1000bucks of parts included on the bike. my biggest concern is lack of aftermarket parts and things like graphics and such.
@guillytravels Жыл бұрын
@@danhopkinson2811 Seems to be that Beta's and Sherco's are smaller, maybe cause south European are mostly short fuckers like myself hahah (I'm from Spain :) Yeah, it isn't too bad the vibration, but my 2017 Husky was better in that department. Maybe the plastic quality aren't as good as the KTM's, although I have most switches removed, only have the power map switch (which did brake, hahah) I like the double sum plug screws, tough wheel bearings, close to none metal shavings when changing oil (with 105h), easy to remove seat, the electric start motor, battery location, the turning point, the foot pegs position (feels more like a trials bike), KYB suspension, more crispy feeling with the electric power valve than my Husky carburettor, starts super quick always cold or hot no problem... I don't like much the tight access to the carburettor and the air filter, at first when changing gears didn't feel very smooth, now I've got used to it.. On Ebay, Amazon or Aliexpres nowadays, you can get sticker kits for everything pretty much. Aftermarket parts shouldn't be an issue, most of the components are used on Japanese or European bikes. What do you think about the 300 se?
