Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls coming from Los Angeles California the psychedelic sound, The Doors I feel like Robbie Krueger is a totally unrated guitar player. He deserves to be put on one of the highest guitarist of all time and my opinion he has the most skilled passion when it comes to his iconic riff. This song, Peace, Frog is a perfect example of this guitar playing style. The moment you hear it you automatically know it’s The Doors.🚪

First time I've heard this as someone said woody didn't get enough credit for this and the first album. Roy wood will never gets the credit for his recording history with the move/elo/wizzard and solo stuff.

Love this song❗ I've watched a few COVERS on KZread. The ONLY band that did it justice was LOS LOBOS 🎵🎵🎵 Check it out . They got that great drum pattern by Ringo down pat. Bravo to them. 😊

This song never gets old. Think about.. Only roughly 5 years prior this same band was playing songs like. Please Please Me, From Me To You, She Loves You. No other band in history transformed their sound in such a short period of time like the Beatles.

There are a lot of bands who have done that, like Radiohead, who went from alt rock to IDM/Ambient on Kid A, or Talk Talk who went from New Wave to literally inventing post rock on "spirit of eden". The beatles did it first though and they were also literally shaping the future of music in general, especially with this song.

@@isaiahromero9861I like your reply. Saying “hey, other bands have done it” and yet, still giving the Beatles the credit since they did do it first. Others would usually downplay the Beatles advancements but you still gave them the props. Great comment 😎

it sounds like for the acoustic guitar part, there was some editing, copying, and splicing done to pad it out to their desired finished length... much easier to do it nowadays on a computer with digital tools, but it must have been a painstaking and miserable process when they recorded everything using tape...

Hello, may I ask where I can download the original high quality files of these individual recordings? I am working on making a remaster/remix of this song, but all of the "stems" I could find online have weird glitches in them that are very annoying.

I've heard this song hundreds of times and it still sends chills down my spine. Sheer creative brilliance that stands the test of time. Rick Rubin's comments are spot on. Hip-hop sampling can be masterful, and I can see its roots in this song now. Thank you for this post.

Even the drums sound like a 90s boom bap hip hop beat, or something you'd hear in 90s electronic music, its like the beatles could literally see the future, how the hell did they even come up with this

I notice he never talked about his ex ... who filed for the divorce and what were the grounds? Also wonder if he regreted being divorced after finding out he was terminal .. Can't imagine anything worse than dying alone (well, maybe dying a virgin 😬 ), but thankfully he did have children who could be there for him when that time came .. 🙂

At 7:53, Zevon says he's released "to date" (i.e. before recording The Wind) 14 "solo" albums. Going by how it's credited on the cover, Hindu Love Gods iis not a solo album. But even if one counts it as one, I still count only 12 released albums as of late 2002. Maybe he's counting Hindu Love Gods and his two live albums. Or maybe he's counting his three compilation albums released to that point. Or maybe he's just miscounting. Those are the only things I can figure.
