A little while ago I tried my hand at embroidery on clothes, but didn't fall in love with it. Instead I got tangled up in lots of embroidery thread and started my wall art journey. Turns out, it's exactly what makes me tick.
Making minimalistic landscapes helps me relax by keeping my hands busy. You'll see I do lots of landscapes. Some are based on actual places, some come straight out of my lil brain. I like both.
And hey, customising clothes is still a go now that I quit my day job for this. Phew. Let's see how it goes.

    I don’t actually embroider a whole ton in comparison, so I can’t say. I think you just have to be mindful of it and not overdo it.

    idk if you're gonna see this since its been more than 1 year since you posted this, but i'm starting to emborider and i was wondering if embroidering on clothing is harder than emboidering on like some random fabric? thanks in advance! :)

    What cloth do you use? Because I’ve just been using typical muslin and it’s been ok but it’s clearly not the correct cloth. I’m just wondering, so maybe I can buy it by the yard

    Would this technique work for bigger designs that would take up most of the front space on the hoody l

  • @vikasspacetohang

    Probably not, if it’s satin stitch you should really be making stitches as short as possible (like half a cm) tops if you want your work to last 🫶🏼 other than that yeah!

    I have a bad habit of embroidering in bed, and I one time lost a needle in the mattress without realizing. I kept having bad dreams about being poked in the stomach by something sharp. Yeah, not a dream. Found it two weeks later sticking straight up exactly where my stomach would be. 😅

    If you live where your possessions freeze, it will come back. You can make your lines reappear by placing the project in the freezer too, if they get erased from being in a hot car!

    Does the backing stabiliser wash away?

  • @vikasspacetohang
    @vikasspacetohang2 ай бұрын

    The actual stabiliser is iron on and is there to stay. The stick and stitch where the design is printed will wash away.
