    Great review man! Thank you. I picked this up today on sale at Home Depot earlier today since I already needed a brushless drill, so I figured why not. My goal is cleaning sawdust and shavings, and my wife wants it for kitty litter, haha.

    Hey, just got recommended this video. Wanted to point out I used tons of packout over the years, and I only had one box that broke from a fall of about 85 feet, the rest get beat to hell but are still find and relatively waterproof. Keep in mind they are only IP65 rated.

    They're Milwaukee Forge batteries, with a Ryobi post on top.

  • @justinsgarage1125
    @justinsgarage11256 ай бұрын

    If they were you’d know because it’d be plastered across the screen. These are not pouch cell batteries. They still use traditional cylinder lithium ion batteries, just tabless(no spot welds). These would be smaller as well if they were like the forge. Think of the dewalt power stack 5ah battery. It’s tiny compared to the regular 5ah battery. I still have not confirmed if these use 21700 or 18650 though.

  • @justinsgarage1125
    @justinsgarage11256 ай бұрын

    Confirmed: 21700 cells. Utilizing upgraded tabless 21700 lithium cells, this all-new ONE+ battery provides more power and longer runtime while running cooler and living longer than other ONE+ batteries in a more compact size.

  • @TheCharleseye
    @TheCharleseye6 ай бұрын

    @@justinsgarage1125 Apparently, you weren't aware that the 8 and 12Ah Forge batteries use tabless 21700 cells.

  • @justinsgarage1125
    @justinsgarage11256 ай бұрын

    @@TheCharleseye just to be clear….the Forge 6ah battery uses pouch cells. The MX(not M18) Forge 8ah and 12ah batteries use tabless lithium cylindrical cells. There is a M18 Forge 12ah battery that uses tabless lithium cylindrical cells that has yet to be released - slated for second half of 2024. You’re saying that this new Ryobi Edge battery is a 18v 12ah forge battery, just with a Ryobi post on top? Really the only similar characteristic is that the batteries are tabless. It’s like saying the P195 (ryobi pack with 21700 cells) is just a Milwaukee M18 3ah high output battery with a Ryobi top. I’m not trying to be argumentative and i appreciate the interaction.

    I have the Craftsman 26" Cart and Chest and the Craftsman 52" Cart and chest. I've had them about 5 years now with complaints on structural integrity. Only complaint I have is the button on the built in power strip malfunctioned on the 52" Chest about 6 months after purchase. Otherwise they seem to be great! The wobble you showed tends to go away as you load them with tools and get the weight in them. (I wonder if the clerk that assembled the display didn't tighten the bolts properly on the castors) Now my boxes do stay stationary and rarely get moved unless I am doing a deep clean in the shop. I was in the same dilemma choosing which way to go between Kobalt and Craftsman but I do have a lot of tools including specialty tools so I wanted more drawers and I knew I wouldn't be moving my boxes around much if at all so I opted for the Craftsman. So far I do not regret my decision. And to be fair, the 52" box was on sale and cost less then the Kobalt they had at the time. Great video nonetheless showing the differences between the 2 and the viewers make their own decision.

  • @justinsgarage1125
    @justinsgarage11258 ай бұрын

    @@ln.5699 thanks for your question. If you are only wanting the batteries, you simply return the grinder and get both batteries for $163. While I found two 6.0ah batteries for $171 on Amazon, this video is for a 6.0ah battery and a 8.0ah battery. I was unable to find a link on Amazon for the same exact set I posted about(if you have one, please send and I will make another video). And yeah, if you only want the grinder, the best way to do this is by returning the 5.0ah starter kit(two 5.0ah batteries and charger) which comes out to $99.50. The advantage of buying at Home Depot is that you get your 5 year tool and 3 year battery warranty….buying from Amazon doesn’t get you that warranty since Amazon is not an authorized reseller. You decide if you want that risk…if you do, that’s fine.
