  Hello, it's a subjective choice, if it is functional and has no rust inside you can always do a conservative restoration. Mine was very rusty and the bolts were stuck as you can see on the video.

  Che ricordi, mio cugino ne aveva una precisa identica. L'aveva comprata per cacciare le rane nelle risaie, poi l'ha modificata togliendo la parabola e portando con un tubo di gomma l'uggello su un casco da miniera, per le nostre scorribande nelle gallerie❤

  Wow, I must say you really polished it beyond perfection. I have one exactly the same and only today I started to hand polish, but I think I'll get a bench polisher in the future. Yes it is a bit scary the first time you use them and heat up them up. But really such a cool antique and the Sievert brand is still selling today too.
