    @@MSWELDING A guy from fronius said it wont run 6010 or even 6011!, I am new to welding, but don't most pro welders use 6010/6011 as a root pass? if so it makes the stick capability a bit of a joke when I can run 6011 on my cheap Deko, was going to buy the transteel as well, think its still worth buying?

  • @barrysteele8431
    @barrysteele843122 сағат бұрын

    When you run MMA mode you can adjust the choke [dynamic] effect to smooth the arc. To run spray arc in mig/mag, if running 1.0 mm wire you’ll need to be near the top end of the synergic curve and adjust the arc length (voltage trim in reality) positive until it sprays. If you struggle with 1.0mm you may want to drop the wire size.

    @MSWELDING Do they need a yearly service to validate the warranty?

  • @MSWELDING
    @MSWELDING Жыл бұрын

    I would check the latest warranty terms supplied with the machine. Usually I would recommend a service with a test to IEC 60974-4 and a calibration f you require it. Not much to service on them though, so it’s a blow out , visual and a test. Like a suggest, check with who you bought it from. Hope this helps.

    Hello. I think most people at the price point tend to offer the binzel style torch. Mainly because consumables are much more readily available if you are traveling or working away lots and the machine is mobile. If you run out of tips late on a Saturday you’ll be able to get a. Binzel tip from a local diy store. You won’t find the Fronius consumables so easily if you was ever in that situation. Where about are you? If you enquire to the website we would be happy to help.

    Hi tom. Firstly I apologise as I don’t always seem to get all notifications. I would buy the pico puls if I wanted to do more alu or stainless. Both machines are great, but pulse really does help with those metals. It would come down to your own personal needs. I actually have a pico standard running on an automation machine that’s probably 15 years old. It’s never ever let the customer down. That speaks volumes. Hope that helps? Regards. Barry.

    Hi Tom. Firstly I was asked to make the cebora video and everything I say about the product is true. But I’m my professional opinion I would class the pocket plus as a more hobby/light work machine. The Fronius is a fantastic work horse! Please don’t forget the Fronius is not pulse! 3mm plate, the Fronius will play with it. I’ve sold 3 Fronius machines this month for similar applications.i hope this helps.

  • @tomthompson7400
    @tomthompson74004 жыл бұрын

    hi , yes , it helps , i wasnt doubting what you had said in your video at all , the pictures do speak volumes , but there is a strong similarity in your views , granted it is no doubt tied to the fact that both machines are similar the stitch feature of the fronius would no doubt make the plate job a lot handier , i spend a lot of time welding thin steel , old car repairs , fifty year old 1 or at best 1.2mm is not easy to work with as im sure you know only too well , i do a lot of chassis jobs too , all 2mm to 2mm even 3mm to 2mm and tend to run a hot weld and stich them . the tig on the two machines is really a free bonus so i cant complain. some of my work is landrover and it would be handy to be able to join the odd split but as its 1mm dural i cant really expect a mig to do it. other than the fronius the other machine catching my eye is the gys 2004 pearl , at nearly half the price its tempting , but as its to be my portable welder i need it to work and keep working , any thoughts appreciated. but now you see why i commented that both reviews are similar. thanks tom

    @@darthtrump4428 Hi .. I never doubted that it would .. but as its about five feet of a butt weld half way up a recovery truck body I'd like to keep the heat down and help keep distortion at bay .. as it would ruin the look of the job .. and i've a customer that will not put filler in afterwards so it has to be over filled and dressed back to perfect . Nothing else will do .. in fact could be an eight foot seam if I think about it and four feet vertical at one end the same .. lucky enough the other ends a corner ... heaven lol

    @@tomthompson7400 well, for a structural application like that, grinding a V groove is required, after that, first pass in the groove may be done with less amps, after that the second pass, full amperage, when the bead protrudes out of base metal enough, you just gotta grind off the excess, finish up with flap wheels for nice surcace i am from eu so cant really help you there, but the machine has synergic pulse settings for 4mm when using 0,8mm wire, but for 1,0 mm wire it has synergic pulse settings for up to 5mm thick steel the menu/settings display can be easily changed from imperial-metric if the heat input and distortion is a problem, you either run shorter weld beads, with time for cooling inbetween or you play a little with torch trigger settings, like 3L or how its called
