Hi there. I love you and your super “homey” video. It feels like I’m cooking with my mom or aunts in their cozy kitchens again and I really needed this today! I’m 59 and now the matriarch of my family as my parents and all Aunts and Uncles are gone. Bless you and many thanks for filling a void that you couldn’t possibly ever know 🙏❤️
@@marilynmainwaring9978 My goodness, what a sweet thing to say! I'm honored. ❤️❤️ Please come to our Facebook, we are able to share so much more and really get to know people. The people I've met are the best thing about doing this. It's Hodges Farm Texas Cooking on Facebook. Amy doesn't even have to help me over there. 😅

If you film in 'landscape format' (horizontal) it is so much more enjoyable. Love the pie!
It's also made for other social media platforms that don't support landscape. Wish we could.
Great recipe! Layers of flavor yes yes yes.

As a child the only piece of pie I ever wanted was chocolate, as I grew up I started eating all kinds of pie including mincemeat. However years ago a Marie Callender’s Restaurant opened up in our city, and one of the flavors was German Chocolate pie. It was pure heaven. After moving back to Texas I started trying to make a German Chocolate pie, but just couldn’t get it right until I decided to use the recipe of my Mom’s Chocolate pie, then about a minute before I would take the filling off the heat, I added about 3/4 cup of coconut and same amount of chopped pecans, also adding the butter and vanilla. Covered it with meringue and could barely wait for it to cool down and see if it was as good as Maries. And it was! I hope you or your viewers will give it a try!
That sounds absolutely delicious!!
Mmmm 😋 I GOTTA TRY THIS 👩🍳ThankYoy for Sharing 🩷🦩☺️
