Could you post the link for the carpet you guys used ?
Constructive criticism...music is entirely too loud, could not hear the voice.
Do I need any extra accessories to set up the wood stove? Also does it bring an extra layer for the roof if wanted? Tks we are getting one!😍
What's up Charlie.... Getting ready here for the next fall hunt with my Kodiak 10x10 hot tent!! hope all is well
Nice! Im gonna get one
That's awesome to hear! Don't hesitate to share feedback on any of our socials!
@@Competitiveedgeproducts yes sir always love to pass on good experiences
Add on room for the 10 by 10 cabin tent would be awesome
Would definitely be awesome. There's a 10x10, 12x12, and 12x16. The manufacturer decided that people going with one as small as 10x10 are the least likely to want to expand it with an add-on room. So, the other two larger sizes have receiving zippers to attach the add-on room 1672, but the 10x10 simply doesn't and likely won't in the future either.
nice product, good video, but record horizontally please
I've seen people put sheds on a levelled up gravel base. Seems to me using some 2x4's and stone would work quite nicely.
Great video and great product. Tks for sharing all those tips...and advantages ..!
Of course thanks for the feedback! Let me know if I can assist any other way!
Hi there, I just got the jacket this morning and it is really smelly. I put it out in the sun trying to make the smell go. Do you have any ideas on how to make that smell go away faster?
The smell should diminish with time. Sun-treating it would be my first go to as well. I know you can use more tricks such as using activated charcoal or baking soda. huckberry.com/journal/posts/gear-lab-wax-outerwear-care-guide-with-nick
How long does the stove burn for how many hours you get out of it? Does anybody know?
Thank you for your question! The burn time of the stove can vary based on several factors, such as the type of fuel used, the size of the fuel load, and the intensity of the burn. With a full load of wood: You can typically expect a burn time ranging from 3 to 5 hours on average, assuming you’re using standard hardwoods like oak or maple. For a more controlled burn: You might extend this to around 7 hours if you carefully manage the airflow and use dense, slow-burning wood. For a hotter, more intense burn: The burn time might decrease to around 2-3 hours if the stove is fully open and burning rapidly.
Can you get Kodiak tents in the UK?
What are your thoughts on a portable AC powered by an outdoor generator using the stove pipe hole for power run and "window kit" ?
Works great! I've done that myself and it makes a huge difference.
I have this tent with all the accessories. Ground cloth and top cover. I spend the winter in it out in the desert southwest. It is a solid tent in the wind and with the addition of the top cover and four guy lines it becomes even more solid in the wind. I have replaced the awning poles with adjustable poles and that gets rid of the rain pooling on the awning. I have also replaced the stakes with Ground Grabba stakes. This tent is rock solid in wind exceeding 45 MPH. It does flap some in a wind, but hey, its made of canvas. If you use cots it does become a two person tent as stated. Great Tent, buy one!!!
This is awesome to hear. I'm glad you were able to make modifications for your camping needs. Thanks for the feedback!
How long do those stoves burn? How long does it last?

I didn't get any of those accessories when I bought mine
How do you keep the roof clean!? And you dont use a rain fly?
I don't do anything to the roof other than sweep it off with a broom if there's Pineneedles or anything. Sometimes people will scrape off sap and clean off the dirt, but it really doesn't look bad at all like it gets used. It doesn't look bad I think, it wears really well. My oldest tent is about 16 or 17 years now and I have yet to had to do any scrubbing on the roof other than just taking a broom and wiping any dirt off.

Hi Robert, sorry our link didn't work. There are a few different pricing options but it is typically $499.99. Here is a link: www.competitiveedgeproducts.com/search.asp?keyword=daylite
I absolutely love mine so far! Haven't even needed to use my kodiak z top sleeping bag yet 😂.
Haha! That's awesome to hear!
Great review ! Just purchased the Kodiak with a bundle ! Perfect timing ! We are going to key west through the gray smoke mountains then to the Elk festival this fall ! THANK TOU FOR THE INCREDIBLE REVIEW !
You are so welcome! Let me know if you have any questions or inquiries I'm so glad I could help!
I wonder if you could spray these canvas tents with Never Wet or something to cut down on the need for drying in wet conditions
Best blanket ever!
The comfiest too right?
which tent is suitable for 8 persons single folding camping bed
Hey! Any of the 8 Person tents would work including the 10x14 flexbow Model-6043 or the 12x12 cabin tent Model-6170. Hope this helped!
can this tent accommodate 8 person with single folding camping bed

Is there a way for me to get in contact with you? Would love to ask for your advice on tents.

this is awesome! We have a large family and I was looking for an actual sturdy big tent that would last. Thanks!
Where is the link to the setup video?
Really enjoy all of your videos. Question is when planning overall size of tent “area” how many feet would you add to the footprint for guy lines. For example the 12x16 is actually a __ x __ footprint. Thanks!
Glad you enjoy the videos. We appreciate the feedback. I try to give myself 4 extra feet around the sides for those guy ropes and about 6' for the front and back guy ropes.
First off thank you for the videos. After lots of researching your video on the 12x12 convinced my to buy and I have not been disappointed. I am looking at this tent for just my family of 4 and on the description on Bass Pro it says it will only sleep 2 with a stove in there. Is there a small stove that will keep it warm where I can fit my 4 bodies in there with a stove?
I'm glad the videos were helpful. For liability purposes, we can't recommend smaller stoves. These have been tested with the alpine camp chef stove and the colorado spruce stove - each has a 5" pipe. I think Bass Pro is just being ultra-conservative in their estimate. If you're family includes children you should easily be able to sleep 4 of you.
Hi. Where is the setup video? Can't find it on your videos 😢
Hey! Sorry for the late reply but I believe this should help! kzread.info/dash/bejne/iGuTwbSjppDPips.html
How do you protect the tent’s roof from wood stove exhaust sparks? is the material used fire resistant?
I have a family of 6, two adults and four kids 10 and under. Would the 12x12 suffice with the add-on room or would the 12x16 be better? The tent would be used for camping in the summer with everyone, and in the fall with a few adults for hunting. Thanks.
That cabin tent reminds me of my parents old tent that we had growing up. That thing was still going strong when my parents finally threw it out. Now I just have to debate between the cabin tent with the awning or the flexible 10x14 for my family. Quick question… does/can the canopy on the cabin tent separate from the tent? I could see for camping with the whole family using it, but maybe not so much if it’s just me and my kids and maybe for a day or 2. Thanks for the informative video and thanks for hopefully answering my question!
Excellent video with detailed explanation. :)
Is it machine washable?
I can't be the only one in 2024 actually thinking people will start living in these
You guys that have these jackets should make videos reviewing them. There are none on KZread.
Is that the green laden?
I don’t know if you’ll get this comment, but I’m about to receive my Kodiak 10 x 10 and I’m wondering did you see is in yours before you used it and also how if ever did you support the stove pipe?
Looking into purchasing the 12x16 tent. Does the colorado spruce stove warm the entire tent? My concern is will the stove keep someone sleeping at the back of the tent warm? Or would you recommend the larger stove? Love all the videos you put up on the kodiak tents. Ive watched numerous videos of all brands and think im going with the kodiak 12x16
I liked see a test where Kodiak would put up one of their flexbow tent and just leave it set up dont touch it, see how long it would stay intact and useable
This would have been a complete video of you would have shown the concrete work.
Needs an awning
will it take a stove.
It will not take a stove. Please see model number 6116.
i just received mine...whole house smells like an old barn. Quality is top notch. I am 6ft and weigh 182 went with a large and fit well but not much room for layering.
The white top is going to kill sales.
The lighter top helps keep the temp down.
Just need to add a grommet in the center back of the seat for water runoff.
The pack size is huge, but it looks like the comfort is too. If you've got the space, looks worth it. Kodiak makes great products. Thanks for the review.
Looks like a comfortable chair. The Kodiak Canvas tent I purchased from you years ago is still going strong so I am sure that these chairs will last forever. Thanks for sharing.
