Hi, thanks for your help. I have started to updated places in Fishguard. Please can you let me know how to delete an experience. I see how to edit one it, but there doesn't seem to be a tab to delete it.
Very interesting I visited yesterday tracing my Grandmothers family surname Howell.
How wonderful. We hope you were able to find traces of your family history. Pembroke Dock has such a rich history!
An absolutely beautifully shot film. Thank you 👍
We thoroughly enjoyed making this documentary. Holyhead and surroundings are marvelous.
Great to see you again Will...it's Alan and Julianne from Liverpool. We are visiting soon . Look forward to a chat buddy.
Thank you for this of course!
Great video, 👍

Well done Agnes, a lovely recollection. Nice to see Lisa giving you a hand too
We truly love Agnes's stories and her laughter!
This was really very interesting. Just wish it went deeper than it did.
Thank you for watching. We're glad you enjoyed our short documentary about Fishguard. If you like to find out more about Fishguard and its twin-town, Goodwick, we have another short film on our channel about the link with Rosslare Harbour: kzread.info/dash/bejne/c3-HqLl_hcmpfNY.html We have also collected some more fantastic stories about the Fishguard area and surroundings on our project website: portspastpresent.eu/items/browse/ Enjoy!
We are sad to hear of Benny's passing. Benny worked for a number of years as a Dock Superintendent in Dublin Port -having worked at sea from a young age.
Such sad news, Declan. Thanks for sharing!

Re the Cattle..On the small ferries of old, it must have been mercilessly rough for the poor beasts. It was bad enough for the humans on little ferries.
We crossed from Fishguard to Rosslare and back again the same day to collect a large, fragile antique item from Wexford..It was lovely to see the coast of Ireland appear through the early Dawn. Lots of golden gorse about, {March time} so wish we could have stayed longer ..I was afraid of being seasick on the crossing, as St George's Channel is a very rough part of the Irish Sea, but I used meds, so was thankfully ok. 1:21, the Y shaped water tower{?} is easily visible from the Sea. Staff on the Ferry were lovely..But think a lot of locals were being replaced with 'Cheaper' overseas workers, which is wrong {They should be paid the same} Edit: the item we bought was made in London around 1870/1880 and would have originally been packed and sent to Ireland by rail and Steamer around that date.
We talked to quite a few locals in both Fishguard and Rosslare Harbour who habitually enjoyed a day-trip to the other side of the Irish Sea and back. We feel it's such a privilege to live so close to the ferry link.
@@portspastandpresent On a lovely calm day, it would be very doable. On a rough one, less so! The staff {Stena Europe} said a few days before we went, that Artics were tipping over despite their lashings, and that passengers weren't enjoying the journey..But on a smooth day, much better. :)
Wonderful
Thank you for watching. What were your favourite bits?

I enjoyed watching this. I have always liked Holyhead, it's a nice town.
Like Tony says in the film, 'It is a complete and utter gem!'
Lovely village, worked there in 1977/78, great memories
What is the song name and artist used in the end credits?
Let us bounce this question to the film editor who picked all the wonderful music for us.
Our lovely editor just informed us that the music over the end credits is this wonderful piece: 'Against all odds' by Kutiman / Tiko Tiko, and you can listen to the full piece here on KZread: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q3usvNKvmM_fk5s.html
