I am checking up on to see where my baby is gone. In the early 70s there were made many ' London Sessions ' series of recordings of blues men and women for posterity. It was on one of these albums was Otis Spann, " 'TAint Nobodys Business If I Do ". I have heard on another occasion 'TAint Nobodys Business but my Baby and Me. This is the Blues at its best. Slow and measured in tempo and sentiments to arrest a mind with the blues. If you ain't got the blues, you're ain't alive. Check. Para te 'ika o Tangaroa. Para te 'ika o Tangaroa. ...fish.

A Masterwork.... there is pain and longing, yet hope and redemption, thank you Jackson.....and you David Lindley, adding soul to Jackson's huge heart. Thank you one and all.

Maybe people are not aware that the guitar part being played here was not Muddy Waters’, but is actually Little Walter, whose harp playing is legendary…but obviously could world an axe too.

Waits has transformed this song into an urban field holler, reminiscent of James "Iron Head" Baker or Leadbelly swinging a sledgehammer on a chain gang while singing "Black Betty."

Really wish I had this version on CD or spotify. I really love his voice, and the only recoeding I have where it's got this level of gravel and sadness have a lot of electric guitar and harmonica on it, which is nice but gives it a real different feel
