Nice video. I’ve noticed the reduce sound on my sfv4s in 4th gear only at 3-4K. It only ever does it in 4th at that rev range. Some say it’s the exhaust value closing. I thought it was the cylinder deactivation myself too.

But the left hand not, I didn’t complain at the beginning so I’m leaving the hospital today, yesterday I had surgery on my left hand to place a screw in the scaphoid… I do believe 1 and 1/2 months I’ll be back… My advice is to exercise as much as possible (without overdoing it) and start physiotherapy as soon as possible… Get well soon, it takes more time than we wish, our body needs time to do the job so be patient and positive 💪

@NGhost360 glad you're doing so well and hope you're back on the bike soon. Unfortunately I started physiotherapy 2.5 weeks ago but the physio gave me exercises which were far too aggressive. It has caused my pelvis socket to partially open up and now my hip is loose. I've effectively gone backwards in my recovery and had to go right back to no load bearing and simple post surgery exercises. The consultant and physios don't really have any answers and are hoping the hip will improve with time. It will never heal properly now as the bones have moved.

Hi. Thanks for checking in. Recovery is going ok. Few ups and downs. I have a 5 week meeting with my consultant this week to check a few things before I can get back to physio. Getting some strange jumping, grating of muscle doing certain motions with my leg. Bike is being repaired, can you believe!? Around £17,800 worth of parts needed. Hope to be load-bearing off crutches in a couple of weeks. Will be a few months until I'll be back on a bike. I'll be wearing a Tech Air 10 for every ride. 😁 How are you doing?

Hey Mark. I'm doing OK. Slight delay in recovery as I'm getting some weird clunking, grinding, grating sensation in my upper quad around the hip. Physio was concerned so awaiting a CT scan with the consultant later this week. I'm hoping it's just the scar tissue in the muscle jumping and having some adhesions internally. Thanks for the great advice. I was doing the physio exercises 3 times per day until 1 week in something ripped or detached and I started getting this clunking, grinding etc. My GP referred me straight to the hospital where I had xrays which the consultant said showed the metalwork was still I'm place and hadn't moved. Arranged a follow up CT scan for Thursday this week. I spoke with the physio who shit himself and saw me the following day. He admitted maybe we went a bit hard too soon and said it didn't look good. Put me on total rest pending the scan results. • @RoadstoRidges

The screen is colour. In Race mode the various electronic aids are all I'm different colours and flash as they intervene. For pure mental rush of power the SF is better as it just builds and builds the higher the revs go. SF sounds the best. For instant low to mid rev punch the Superduke is the best. It just goes with a whiff of throttle. Much smoother at lower revs around town too. Both awesome bikes but I preferred the Streetfighter overall. It's a little bit more exotic and more of an event when you're out on it.

@RoadstoRidges absolutely. Some people take pride in the fact that their bike has never seen rain. It's a selling point. Some people don't care. But the point is. The seller does not know the buyers' preferences. And then there is the possibility of swirl marks in the washing and wipe down process. I saw another video of brand new bikes being removed from their protective crates in the tipping rain. I would be totally pissed off if that was my bike. Bring it inside or under cover or wait for the rain to stop before unboxing. If I want to get my new bike wet, then that is my decision. Control rant over 😅

Loved the bike but hadn't got fully familiar with it as I'd only put just over 1100 miles on it. My target now is just to recover and get back to walking etc. Having two bikes stuck in the garage not being ridden is a distraction. No in this instance the nature of the collision and my knee impacting the BMW and shoving my femur back through my pelvis the air bag wouldn't have prevented it. I completely agree with you, and have almost the same set up, I just went for spoked wheels on the V4s “full” with the full akro too. I’m the same size as you, and sometimes have the wife as pillion, but she’s tiny so I set the suspension the same as you. One extra point of interest - I think my fuel economy improved by about 7% after I got the full pipe……. I just noticed between fill ups, but maybe it was running in at the time too. Wondered if you found the same. I’m about to change tires, and only ever use it on tarmac, in the dry, so wondered you have a preference on rubber. I don’t care if I ware them out in 3000 miles or less, just want good grip on twisties.

That's very interesting on the fuel economy increase. Mine definitely went up too. I can often get low 40 mpg on a mixed ride. I'm just trying the Road 6 and so far they're awesome. The Angel GT II wore out very quickly and didn't seem any better than the Trail II stock tyres.

Was thinking more about the servicing on the SF. I’ll easily be doing 600km each weekend. The 24000km Desmo service will come quick… essentially every year (given that I won’t drive 3 months of the year - ice rain etc) I’ll have the desmo service, which will be the guts of €2000 on top of the €320 oil/air filter service. Basically €3000 a year including tires. That seems a bit mad. I can see why, for the same retail price people choose the Multi.

Glad you’re recovering . Definitely, post something about what happened. Not many channels post crashes, how to avoid , what happens ,what’s possible. Even re what insurers cover/how quick the services is etc etc. be an interesting watch. You’ll get a new bike out of it assuming you’re fully covered! I completed a rider skill assessment and got a grade 2, chuffed. Grade 1-4, grade 1 reserved for biking instructors/paramedic/police 👍 That’ll help the insurance. As it’s been a few years since I’ve had a policy in my name I’ve zero no claims 😢 but with this assessment I’ll get fully comp for €850 first year. Obviously goes right down each year until no claims back to 3’years. €850 is amazing in Ireland 🇮🇪 for a 208hp bike and zero no claims!
