Be careful around the Morro Bay campground and from Pismo Beach to Hearst Castle ...a few of the Calif State Park Rangers are overly aggressive , The campground is open 24 hours I was stopped by Ranger " B . E " as I drove into the campground in the early morning. He took 15 mins to run my drivers license and registration then he wrote me a $100 dollar ticket for " Non payment of camping fees " I explained to him he watched me drive into the park 15 mins ago and the normal procedure is find a empty space then write the space number on the after hours envelope then deposit that in the " Iron Ranger " or take your spot then wait till morning when the gate booth is open for payment by debit or credit card. And that is the job of the Campground host to tell people that at 7 am. that have not paid. Then he proceeded to ban me from the campground for 24 hours. While I was leaving I stopped at the gate pay booth to read the rules he pulled up on me again as I stood there and told me to get away from there I was banned from the park for 24 hours. My court date is written 4 months away from now for Grover Beach Court off Grand Ave. This seems way out of line to me I had done nothing wrong and was doing as any person wanting to go camp would do. So I would say to you be very careful but then again I had done nothing wrong...For those from out of town I don't think you would come back from your home town to pay for his overly aggressive ticket writing. I write this here to hopefully keep him from becoming more aggressive and maybe hurting someone or bringing a huge lawsuit against the City of Morro Bay . Calif State Park Ranger " K " is not far removed in her aggressive ticket writing ......anyone else have this problem ?

Just like any campground it’s very important to see the description of the site your booking to make sure it can accommodate the size of your RV. I do know that loop L is very desirable for your larger rigs. They offer electric, water and sewer.

When my Napa Valley College Earth Science class took a school bus for a rare field trip to Pt. Reyes, our geology teacher had us straddle the San Andreas fault, on the 'earthquake' trail, and stomp our feet. That was in '81, and I think, I really really think, it caused the '89 Loma Prieta earthquake. So I have survivor's guild and wisely fled Napa nineteen years before it's 2014 earthquake, which caused more damage there than the Loma Prieta quake and the previous 2000 Napa quake, and the 1906 earthquake. I live in Phoenix, but on October 16th '99, around 2:45 AM, less than 24 hours after our daughter was born, we felt 7.1 Hector Mine earthquake on the third floor of Thunderbird hospital, where my wife still was, after our daughter was born. I was allowed to sleep in her suite because of her long labor, so I could help my wife, and was there when the earthquake hit. I first thought a helicopter had crashed into the hospital, our beds were rolling on the floor, and my wife was about to rush my daughter out of the room and I had to sternly tell her 'We've just felt an earthquake--stay put'. I went to the nurse's station because I heard screams and cries from the other hospital rooms, and I told the stunned nurses it was just an earthquake, probably in California, and they were already mad because none of the doctors came to check on the maternity ward's welfare. As I returned to my room, mission accomplished after calming the nurses, they in turn calmed the patients who were obviously 'rattled'.. When my daughter was old enough, we told her she came into the world with a 'bang'. Just five years earlier, when my wife, then my fiance, flew to see me in Mexico, in Huatulco, since we dated 2000 miles apart, on her departure Huatulco also had a small earthquake. So to this day, I wonder if our earth's creator was trying to tell me something, because of the day me and my college friends jumped on the San Andreas Earthquake trail.

Stay parked the whole time your there and use the shuttles otherwise if you move your car you might not find another parking spot. Once parked it was stress free and we had a fantastic time enjoying the beautiful waterfalls and scenery. Deegans deli offers beverages, beer , wine , soup’s , sandwiches coffee shop. Good prices or you can pack yourself a picnic lunch. We enjoyed both. Yosemite is a must see right now with the many waterfalls. So much water even on the valley floor. Worth the trip. Enjoy!
