  Seems like he picked a bad window, especially for a no oxygen summit. The first climb of Everest should be mandatory to use Oxygen. No oxygen is showing off which is pointless if you don’t summit and return. People saying he is a hero just because he died. Realistically he was foolish to think he could go without Oxygen. His support team who allowed this should be held partially responsible. Maybe that will stop certain companies taking the piss out of the professional operations that would have rejected this man’s plans just based on experience. It’s people like him that just fuel the “they shouldn’t be on the mountain” Mafia.

  Altitude sickness can hit anyone, no matter how strong, it's just one of the risks. He gave it his best go and that's what matters. Love to his family... he was amazing.
