One of my favorite campgrounds! Haven't been there in over 30 years since I was a kid. So excited to finally go back this summer.

To access this lake drive to the parking lot at Horseshoe Lake. The trailhead is at the southwest corner of the parking area. Look for the information board and the trailhead is located to the right. Fishing up there is catch and release. The scenery is beautiful, so take pictures/video. Enjoy the short hike.

This will be a good place for people to go and enjoy and reset their brain from all the crowding Orange county California can suck years of your life away a couple hours at a time sitting in traffic unfortunately

There is some lakes south of Yosemite that you start on the east side and hike across the most beautiful Yosemite like mountains and end up in like Fresno or Bakersfield after 3 days of hiking and backpacking

This isn't the group campsite- it's just a picnic area. To get to the group campsite you have to keep going down that same road to another parking lot then through a locked gate. It was confusing for me too, when I went there. I'd love to see another video of the actual group campsite! These are very helpful.

I took a ton of super 8 film back in around '72 or so. I filmed them building those bathrooms as I panned the campground.

Did you experience any nasty bugs here? Like loads of mosquitos or wasps? We usually camp near twin lakes at Robinson creek but we wanted to try this camp ground this year. Thanks!

Its not shepards crk.! The city kept these sand traps maintained and it was a good spot to fish BUT some shrub brush hugging lib-tard said it was ruining the eco system. This is the same eco-terrorist who puts little protection shields on the sage brush up in the Alabama hills.

This is where Kely Rodni disappeared, although the name is not accurate, she disappeared in Cold Creek Lake, and this is called Coldwater Campground. Is it the same place with a different name? The search is still underway by Adventures with Purpose but I'm doing a little bit of research from home, as I always do when someone disappears. She might have also been attacked by a bear, but she was driving drunk as well.

I was there yesterday and there was a bear that broke into out neighbors car and ripped the seats, stepped on an iPad and broke through a tent where 3 kids were inside. Nobody was injured but they had to go home 2 days early. The worst part was they were from Idaho.
