    Well, sometimes 0,05 gr makes a difference, perhaps not on this cartridge…quite a generic setup info but good for those not knowing...

    Over the years , I have learned. 1/ Don't bother with Mc cartridges, too delicate and involves special phono stage 2/ Detachable headshell is much easier to deal with 3/ Accept with a new cartridge that for approx 40 hours , it will sound strained 4/ A magic eraser sponge dragged back to front gently is the best way to clean a stylus 5/ Do not wet clean records, just use a dust brush 6/ when it comes to 2nd hand records , do not buy them if they have grease or gunk on them. Check vinyl with spotlight for scratches or warps 7/ Tracking too light is not good but go by listening 8/ Set up of record deck , quality of deck, phono stage is important 9 Vinyl can be a lot of hassle , thank goodness cd was invented

    Very informative video. Thank you! One thing that might have been mentioned is that small magnet, big coil, and big magnet, small coil, generate a similar amount of POWER, so that the much much lower impedance of the moving coil cartridge, when stepped up with a transformer, actually provides a similar voltage into a 47k ohm load to that of a moving magnet pickup.

    Nice deck!! Personally I'd have to sit down. I passed up a Thorens TD 125 w/ an SME 3009 arm for 400 bucks just because it had the fixed head shell. I am still kicking my self in the ass. What an incredible video. All said, is there any wonder why C.D.s became so popular with the "Mass Listeners"...?

    I’m watching the video at approximately 26.25 minutes. Can you or someone explain how the needle gets dragged to the center of the record? Is there some force in the tonearm itself moving the arm towards the middle of the record? or is it the needle sitting in the groove and the spiraling affect of the groove is actually pushing the needle towards the center, not dragging.

    Spending so much needless time in setting the VTA when records are cut different and you need to voice or tune with real instruments such as strings. Moreover look at how he handles records... Careless!!

    Thank You. I have a Ortofon 2M Blue. My Azimuth needs adjustment. Without a mirror I can see it's off. Love the suggestion of using shims to get it right if needed. What is important is to get that needle perpendicular, going into the groove straight. I'll work on it.

    I've just recently taken delivery of the Concorde Music Blue cartridge and have been testing it and I've got to admit it sounds fantastic. The cartridge with the blue stylus seems to extract a lot of detail out of the record grooves and sounds well balanced with controlled bass, excellent mids and vocals and the clarity of the treble especially with cymbals is fantastic. The cartridge also exhibits good channel separation and balance. I am very happy with my Ortofon Concorde Music Blue cartridge and it works very nicely with my Project Debut S Phono turntable, iFi Zen phono stage and Rega IO amplifier. Ortofon have a good product with this cartridge and I can recommend this cartridge.

    I wonder how the black sounds if it's on par with the black normal cart. I cannot wait to see some reviews here

  • @Ortofonofficial
    @OrtofonofficialАй бұрын

    We're looking forward to the reviews too! :) The Concorde Music Black, like the rest of the Concorde Music series, incorporates exclusive Ortofon rubber compounds for its stylus suspensions. These compounds undergo careful in-house production and are developed by Ortofon's research and engineering team to ensure brilliant performance. They play a crucially important role in the overall performance of a phono cartridge, particularly in the stylus rubber suspension. Compared to the 2M Black, the Concorde Music Black delivers higher output and exceptional channel balance and separation, resulting in precise and dynamic sound reproduction. It offers lifelike sound with exceptional clarity and fidelity, capturing every detail.
