Just watched this as an introduction to IEC61850. Really interesting and well presented, thank you! The only thing I am not sure of is why there is a limitation of 15 nodes on an HSR ring?
@haykelvin4 ай бұрын
I believe this is due to the use of ptp protocol. In order to ensure the accuracy of the precision timing met the standard, the end devices have to be within 16 nodes from the master clock.

Excellent coverage Dominic. Please see if your schedule will allow you to present other nerc cip items that don't directly impact network communications. This will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

According to NIST changing passwords i a practice of the past and regarded as detrimental. What is recommended is a 16-digit password or more and it never changes unless a reason comes by. I short, that is because change of passwords makes users store them in ways that often make a breach easier than cracking the password itself.

Why cant HSR ring made at DANP-relay. It suppose to be made at realy than red box can be connected to RSTP ring
@iS5Communications2 жыл бұрын
HSR rings are usually made of IEDs that support HSR (DANH). However, if the IEDs don't support HSR natively, a redundancy box is needed to connect them to the ring.

The PRP-RSTP combination is something I have been advocating for a few years now including: a recent paper for the CIGRE SC B5 2020 Session: RH44D, ideology.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IS/pages/6979613/My+Papers+and+Contributions , and a CIGRE Contribution in 2018: RH40D and RH40P at same link and my technical reference web site: ideology.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AP/pages/7274698/Architectures+-+Star+Ring+Duplicated+Redundancy+bumpless+PRP+bumpless+HSR
Gostei muito. Espero que façam mais seminarios como esse, precisamos divulgar o conhecimento para as redes de automacao industrial
