G2 2.0 bayonet breaks much easier than smaller model. Mine broke after 18months. Both top and bottom broke , as I turned it upside down after bottom broke. I wish the part is replaceable in G3

Piece of junk, and they have no quality control at their plant. I got mine today and had a broken air intake cup, the venturi tube would not fit, and there was no overflow port on the skimmer. They should sell these skimmers for 50.00 at most.

Fauna Marin Professional Salt and Tropic Marin Professional Salt. Nyos has better levels than any of the other 2.

When do you have a video about the nyos opus 440. I love that size more as its has te ability to do more. I also love the clear silicone. I do wish you had more the red sea sump design as that is more easier for a refugium chamber.

This totally did not work for my application. 90gallon trying to catch some sick fish. Kept in in there for days. Finally fish was too sick to get away from dualing nets. It's big folks. Make sure you have room taking into account your rock work.

I love the nyos nitrate kit! The best of all I have tried and so easy to read! The problem i s the spoon is black and so are my kitchen counters, stove ect so I have lost 2 of them so cant afford to keep buying the whole kit. How many cc, are in the spoon? I can probably order some or use my red sea that says it 0.15 but I believe the spoon is larger. Its not so hard to loose because its white and and stands out on my counters if I forget to put it back!!

at first glance it's seems the designs are brilliant, but it's a pain in the ass to maintain and control. 1) mine had the top popped off once when i wasnt around and made a mess in the sump, draining water level and nearly killed my return pump. 2) Level control is near impossible, you have to turn the whole body against the base, and the base has no ergonomic grip for you to hold, especially it being rounded and huge and slippery and so tight, just doesn't make sense. 3) Media filling is a joke if you plan to use the separator, imagine having to get the center rod through the media while trying to find the cavity to slot the rod in accurately. 4) water flowing down outside the body, always created splashes when touched whenever you're trying to do anything in the sump. 5) excessively huge base, it could easily be half the size, why is it so big? 6) impractical "modular" design. seriously who changes the body size every now and then, people usually pick one and and stick with it. it's not making any sense when i tried to go with 1.0 version to save space and yet the base is unbelievably huge. 7) not suitable for GFO, coarse sponge as filter at the bottom. Unless you'd like GFO flowing all over your tank. innovative marine midsize reactor is a much better choice, or just go with conventional reactors and save yourself some pain.

I've had the opus300 2 years now yeh nice tank but can't clean back glass without putting ya hand in properly as the pipe work gets in the way ...bad sump design nowhere to put extra stuff also no refugium option ....ive added a small tank to it for a refugium....for the price would be nice to have that option....top up that came with the mk1 is useless.....if I had a choice next time round ...narr I'll pass....the soft close door system for me 1 door has never opened properly.. Tbh for the price I'd expect more..really your paying for the sleek look but for everyday reefing can be a pain ....forgot to mention overflow same on mk2 ...only 1 return pipe .....my gripe is why use the same overflow would have been so much better to put 2 return lines 1 in each corner of the tank and the overflow can do its job properly....trying to get the flow right is a job in itself when the return line shares the same area as the overflow...seriously I chose the opus300 mk1 over a d&d reef pro 1200 and that at the time was cheaper think it still is....1 more year with this tank and I'll replace it with what I originally was gonna get the dd reef pro1200....seems more practical especially the sump design

So where can we buy the inserts for using instead of the sponge. This is awesome and I think you said G1 body will work on G2 dock and G2 body in G1 dock. Is that correct??

Yes, both generations fit. Only the G2 inserts are not possible to use in the G1 body, thats the reason why you can't buy them separately.
