This state park is on my list. We were planning to see it a few weeks ago. I had thought we were closer when we traveled to central pa but we were still three hours from Ohio Pyle. You showed it off well. 👍1

You will have fun here. Great little town. Bring your bikes or rent bikes. The Great Allegheny Passage goes right through here. Couple national sites are not far. And there are about 4 to 5 State parks with in hour or little more from here. Spent 5 days there. Could have spent more. Rent a Yurt for week.

Not that bad with multiple people. We just did 15 mile one in Frostburg on Sunday for father’s. Just got back from A 5 days stay at Ohiopyle State Park.

I followed two guys in a cart. Thats it. It was private country club that morning. It was supposed to rain that day. And heavy rain came in right after i got done. But i tee off early. 6am to 6:30 usually. But this course is awesome. It rated one of the best public courses in PA. I drove about hour and half. And I thought this video turned out nice. Kind hard to film trying to play golf. To much thinking.

This was a good hike. I did this before. Parked in the same lot. I hiked clockwise though. How about those views at the top? Some people say these are the best views on the Appalachian trail in PA. Glad you made it to the pinnacle. I didn’t go that far. 👍

THIS ONE IS ON THE SOUTH EAST SIDE OF READING.. REALLY CLOSE TO NODLE FOREST STATE PARK.. BUT YOU HAVE AWESOME COURESE UP AROUND YOUR AREA... GOLF IS GREAT.. I GOT BACK INTO LAST SUMMER AFTER COUPLE YEAR BREAK FROM WHEN I BLEW MY KNEE OUT AND SPERATED MY SHOULDER.....FEELS GOOD TO BE BACK SWINGING

Well, i see your name and not sure if you know this. But Ricketts Glenn State Park was going to be a National Park but WW2 started, funds went elsewhere. It became a National Natural Area and it fell to the state as state Park. But I got iced out on the one gorge. But there are two gorges here with over 30 waterfalls on a 6 to 8 mile hike depending on where you start. I recommend going back through my videos to a fall hike here and watch it. That big waterfall that you last in this video is a 92 foot waterfall. This place is worth coming to Pa for if you don’t live here. Hit the trail early, this place can get packed

Thanks for showing us these parks. I've never been to any of these. Do you collect the passport stamps for the state parks? I recently learned that you can email the PA parks and forest organization if you have missing any passport stamps and they will mail them to you. Sometimes when we visit the offices aren't open or they dont have the stamps out.

Most parks have them by the maps at the office outside for when they are closed. But they run out quick sometimes. As more people are doing the PA state park passport. Im bin to 85 parks of the 124 and have about 3/4 of the front check list done. But i had my book for years.

Nice job filming and hiking. I love trails like this that travel with a stream. I think I saw the log move when kid pushed it. Also, great job having a beginning where you drive up, and ending it getting back in the car. You completed the story. Most people don’t do this in their videos. 👍

Thanks dude. We where doing some trail maintenance out there. I help keep section 1 & 2 on Mid state trail clear. Pa longest trail. Runs from pa board to the new york line. Look it up if you never heard of it. Its a tuff trail. Some spots are not maintained.

It was. From the vista over the mountain was ankle to knee deep. And took about 45 mins to cross devils racecourse with all the snow. There are some real deep holes between the rocks. Had to be careful.

That is such a beautiful state park! I loved the covered bridges and the views of the lake as you walked around the area. I hope whoever fell was alright 😮 nice skip for such a large rock! I like that 1806 building and the cemetery!

So many great things to see in Central PA. Very glad this is where I was born and raised and onto raising the next proud Pennsylvanian. My son and I spend a lot of time in Rothrock State Forest. Thanks for showcasing our favorite area. If you ever get back, check out Little Flat Fire Tower. It has an old CCC cabin at it also

If you go through my videos. You will find alot of Rothrock And Bald eagle. I hiked the MST through there plus more. They have cleaned up around the the brick oven. Bringing it back to life it looks. The dam still isn’t fixed and probably not going to fixed or replaced. Love Rothrock

Choo choo rides are always good. My first time doing the bike train. That was cool. Going up gore by train and riding back. It is about 25 mile ride back to jim thorpe from white heaven

Yeah. This section had some nice canal and river shots. The trail though through some of these areas are not developed fully yet as you saw us riding on grass and single dirt path. And there is about 1/4 to .5 mile of busy road you have to ride. Next week we are taking Xavier on the Leigh high gorge part. Taking the train up and riding back down. He has never been through the gorge part yet as B and I have. He said he needs to do the hole trail🚴♂️. His riding took a new level this summer and his hiking

Hides the pot holes on the trail though. This is more of game road than a rail trail. But the road is on the rail line that ran through this valley back in late 1800 early 1900s. Coal and lumber.

He has never been through the gorge part yet as B and I have. He said he needs to do the hole trail🚴♂️. His riding took a new level this summer and his hiking
Still looks pretty with the fallen leaves. I find winter the hardest season to hike in - cold and just dreary looking.

Hides the pot holes on the trail though. This is more of game road than a rail trail. But the road is on the rail line that ran through this valley back in late 1800 early 1900s. Coal and lumber.

This is the longest trail in Pennsylvania. Runs from the Maryland line to New York line. About 332miles long

Beautiful place. So neat how the beaver cut down that tree and then kindof quit on the job. Neat to see the tree half chopped like that. I love boardwalk hikes.

This is awesome loop around the lake. Old ghost town there. Some buildings left from. Thats part of campground area. CCC park.
