While I wasn't taking shots or drinking a whole beer or anything like that, my parents usually let my brother and I have a taste if they ordered a drink somewhere. They also made drinks at home like Grasshoppers which barely had any alcohol in it, but us kids didn't really care. So when we did hit 21, being able to choose to drink wasn't the life-altering experience it seems to have been for so many others. It was just like, "Welp, cool. I can buy my own wine coolers now."

The bagpipe song should be our National Anthem, but it is American the Beautiful. Star Spangled Banner is our National Anthem and it is great too. God Bless America is a good one too! I wish kids still said the alliegence to the flag each day but they do not sadly and are not taught the National Anthem. Hope that gets restored to schools!

why have a pencil if it is not sharp? the very best way to sharpen a pencil is with those 'Boston' wall mounts. Plus they collect the shavings. when kids bring their own sharpeners.... what happens to the shavings?

First of all, thank you for showing this great video. Actually where he is at now is only a few miles from the Kentucky and Virginia state lines. I have driven the same roads he is on now. This is where i was born and half raised back in the fifties. Well actually i was born next county over in Big Rock, Buchanan county, Virginia. My Daddy was a coal miner in the forties through sixties and he worked hard when those mines were much less safe than now. I have lots of kinfolk in McDowell county, West Virginia. We moved North in 64 on my twelfth birthday, but i will always remember with love of growing up there and all the wonderful people i knew. The script story is mostly true. The mine paid Daddy half cash and half in script and the only place you could use the script was at the company store. I loved that old company store. I sold them pop bottles for two cents apiece. Great memories and i wish i could go back in time, but you can't go back. Sorry for writing so much. It just brought me back to a better time for me.

When Walmarts first opened they did not have groceries. That part of the store came later. Some Walmarts are called super stores that have huge grocery srctions and automobile service departments. You can get an oil change or car repair Some have Subway sandwich shop, bank, bakery, vision center, and tax filing assistance at tax time.
