For all of the videos of instructors discussing proper grip, I haven't seen many discuss one handed grip in detail. It is usually an afterthought. I hadn't considered thumb placement, thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the video, the format in which you make them is very interesting, the explanation of going out with the last target, in move depending on the equipment, from there I learned, I shoot CO class C, I would not have noticed that detail. Maybe if I had seen several people running the stage like you I would have done the same and maybe lost time in my transition to the next target on the right.

What types of terrain do you find best? A friend and I looking to start an outdoor range. We were thinking pea gravel but we’ve never ran a stage on it. Idea being it’s a bit shock absorbent and can be sifted easily for collecting brass.
@tfiacademy1665 Жыл бұрын
I like crushed rock due to it locking together making a hard and leave surface that make water run off the the range surface into a ditch system to move water. Pea gravel doesn't lock together due to the rounded edges and creates a surface that is either sloppy or slick and it is harder to keep clean, ie pickup brass

It's mind-boggling how much intellect is involved in this sport. Going from tacti-cool to competition are two totally different animals, but I thoroughly enjoy shooting USPSA. This next competition I'm mainly gonna focus on my target transition speed and footwork. I need to have confidence in my shot placement, but my footwork needs more help than anything. This is an awesome breakdown. Thank you. 💯
