I just bought one recently. In hindsight I realize I probably paid way too much for it at almost $200 with shipping and taxes. considering it is at least 7 year old design today. I somehow mistook it for another more recent one that looked somewhat similar. On the plus side - it is 100% reliable - never locked up, restarted or anything of the sort - starts up very quickly - no lengthy boot up or splash screen on the minus - it has a very awkward user interface requiring many keypresses even for the simplest thing and the jog wheel cannot even be used as an MPG but instead just to scroll between menu items. - transferring files by micro SD card is very fiddly. I would have preferred a USB stick and maybe also a direct USB, ethernet or WiFi connection to transfer files directly from the PC - the maximum pulse rate is only 50K which can be a problem although typically only if you want to use very fine microstepping or very fast movement for laser raster engraving There are three major things I missed are that I needed and it cannot do. - It cannot use an MPG of any kind and not even the knob on the front can function like an MPG - the GCODE is very limited such as not having a command to write to a file (for example for probing) - it cannot save/load entire configurations - or at least I cannot find out how to do it. I needed that because I intended to use it for several different machines all of which require very different settings and it is too time consuming and error prone to manually enter all the settings each time. I will be buying a more advanced one (the one I intended originally) and fitting this permanently to one of the simpler machines. It was probably a very good deal at the time it was released and today it still would be if it were priced much lower than what I paid.

I have a problem with the speed indicator. The speed differs by about 20 rpm than in reality. Unsuitable for thread production. I get the impression this is not the best controller
