Do you use the original planted piece too or toss that part? I did a grow bag garden on my lower deck last year. Going to try ginger in one bag this year. Great idea. And I didn’t know I could prep and freeze ginger. I have thrown out so much ginger! Not anymore. Yea! Thanks Michael.

I make Ravioli frequently and have "attempted" Agnolotti a few times... but they just ended up as "Fixed" Ravioli to be edible. I didn't know the pinch up technique. Can't wait to go for it again! Such a sexy pasta. Love it! Thank you for the technique instruction.

Hi Barbara…these strainers are in every kitchen in Italy, and available at every hardware store. I am so surprised that they are not popular here. Here is a link to one in my shop on the website: chefmichaelsalmon.com/product/pasta-strainer/

That is amazing. Yum. I always had the Spiedini at our favorite Italian restaurant when we lived in SanFrancisco. A little hole in the wall run by an adorable couple from Italy. The Spiedini was their house special. Thanks for triggering a great memory. Hmmmm. Deck dinner next summer?? Lol

I like your tip on mashing the garlic with the blade of the knife
@ChefMichaelSalmon2 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott, it is an excellent technique for getting the garlic really finely minced. Make sure you bring the garlic to the front of the board so the knife can set perfectly flat against the cutting board, without your hand or the handle of the knife getting in the way.
