Lmk when you want to do laps bby girl
28:00 get yourself a nice work stand if you haven't already, you'll never want to go back to crouching down on the ground
I would love to. Hopefully it's in the cards for this year
hi i am from the students you saw at dornellas the one that asked if you post. I was wondering if yoy can only pay online for the brain health or is there in person?
Hi great to see you! yes you can only pay online both for donations to other people and for signing up yourself. the process isn't too complicated though as you only need a debit card or a pay pal account
@@bikesofocadu alright thank you
@@bikesofocadu also one more question is it alright to ride fixed gear brakeless in the event, I have already signed up
I drive a Dutch bike that I bought second-hand for €50 last Month and I really enjoy it. Its faster than i thought. Greetings from Munich, Germany.😅😅
no other feeling like a brakless track bike
I use the hand position at 6:28 on most long straights. Maybe a smashed stem would make it more comfortable? Enjoyed the video! :)
"I cut the brakes on my bike. A man like me never really learned how to stop."
BOTH of my brakes went out today at THE SAME TIME on my e-bike and I still had about 8 miles left in my commute. It was a harrowing experience. I don't understand how anyone would willingly go out on a bike without brakes. Any bike. I had to keep my speeds under 10 mph the whole way and my shoes are also now ate the fuck up from the pavement lol
No breaks no problem. Until you need them. Ride safe. 🧑🦽
Ok but Why?
It's cool to have no brakes
I like drops in theory, but I'm using small bullhorns for urban riding to get aero occasionally,. Swept back handlebars get you more view angles, so its safer for city riding, especially if you're riding with a single brake or brakeless. Most bullhorns are still angled above drops, so you're less likely to end up with numb or sore hands and if you were experiencing back pain with drops, that will likely decrease, too.
I love how all these assholes lane split, run red lights, narrowly miss cars and make everyone break for them while never yielding right of way but how dare someone walk in the bike lane. Get fucked. You're all assholes.
Thanks for teaching me how to whack my quill.
No straps?!
I used to put my foot in the back wheel to stop it when i had no brakes
why people taking off their brakes? can someone explain?
because it's sick my friend
Because it's funny
Fixed gear bikes can be braked by reversed pedalling force. Not as effective as the actual brakes but it works as long as the biker knows how to properly do it. Removing the brake is more of a "cool factor" rather than practicality. It makes the bike less mechanically complex and looks cleaner.
It’s a cult
hey, whats your gopro mount?
It’s a chest mount.
great video, loved the vibe
“I wasn’t expecting that guy to stop” That guy clearly understands the laws of physics when comparing a 2 wheeled meat bag to the rear bogies of an 18 wheeler 😉 They also use a lot more real estate in a turn than a bus., and change directions more drastically than a bus. An 18 wheeler can flatten you, not see you, drive a thousand miles, drop his cargo and live the rest of his life care free never knowing the he squashed someone. On the bright side, I really did enjoy this video 👍😎
Lol the dustin klein font
I was bike courier for about 10 years in Denver and Chicago, rode single speed mountain bikes, but always had brakes and never fixed… my knees are still good today👍.
You can get plastic empty toothpaste tubes and fill them with peanut butter and mashed up banana , life hack
Sweet vid! I bike brakeless as well I go to O connor
Great vid man! I have been wanting to get rid of the brakes on mine as well however the steep hills in my area are hindering me lol
Suggestions: Before you insert the stem, you should grease the quill along with the top tube interior. This would prevent seizing and excessive rusting. While your at it, check and grease the seat post as well. It’s a nice bike, take care of it and it’ll last a lifetime.
I just started the same, it's so much fun. You get used to it after a couple of rides.
I enjoyed the video, but why breakless? You almost had an accident that's what there there for. Isn't that like cutting off your foot or leg? You kind of need your legs. But your like no ill just crawl. No you kinda do need your legs. Unless breakless is cool following the NYC crowd. I can't see what's cool about no breaks, or fixed gear, I guess they get those bikes in NY because it's completely flat there you don't need gears. I ride a road bike im from Australia
Get yourself a fixed gear and you'll understand.
When you are my age you won't be able to ride brakeless anymore because resisting the forces of the bike will hurt your knees, so enjoy it while you can it's fun.
horrible analogy
@@___Bebo___it depends how you ride, I’m now 43 and still ride breakless. No problem with my knees so far 😅
@@sketchy0078 I still take the brakeless whip out at night with no one around sometimes, 47 here.

You can skip 2 lights on the way in if you turn right onto lourdes lane off sherb and then take the second left down to wellesley street instead of just taking sherbourne all the way down to wellesley
Noted! I'll try that out
