Gypsy Rose sought help many times. Her mom would always explain it away, move, or find new doctors. I think GR does manipulate because that was the only thing taught to her. She is still trying to navigate a normal life. She is very understanding when someone points out the manipulation. It can take decades to heal. Again she was only taught how to be attention seeking. But she continues to grow and you can tell she works at it. The last interview i saw she was well grounded as she could be. But still immature for her age. Nick did take some blame but he was trying to save her. They could have found another way but when you're desperate you don't think clearly. Unless you have gone through profound trauma don't judge. Everyone who has felt there was no way out of their abuse can understand a part of what she went through. Im 45 and still show signs of my abuse. I think I'm at a point in my life where i can rest from "correcting" childhood trauma. I still have work to do but most is at a level that is tolerable and still able to function in society.

She was not given a life sentence and only had a preliminary trial. She accepted a plea deal of 10 years and was let out on parole after 7.5 years.

This girl is beyond evil and dangerous I don't know how anyone can feel bad for her she manipulates people like she's done her whole life she was not afraid of her mother she used to go out all the time almost every night and hang out and party and all those people knew that that was her hustle pretending to be sick plus if she really was afraid she could have told them. Gypsy had no right involving Nick. She doesn't deserve to be in prison for ending her mother. We all know Deedee had it coming. But she full on manipulated Nick into being the hit man. She could have spoken up AT ANY POINT after she understood what her mother was doing. She had access to the internet and openly spoke about it to Nick. She had plenty of opportunities to out her mother and save her own life. She chose violence because that's who Gypsy is and some people just can't see it. She is more dangerous in society than Nick is.
