  Next level would be adding a defender that jumps back n forth between the two passing options so the the player in the middle has to shoulder-check prior to getting the ball to know where the ‘safe’ pass should go. Awesome drill, coach!

  It's a good drill yes but I think it's best if defender 2 who gives cover should lead the defense line to lead as head and the defender 3 who provides balance to be on the same line with him so as the defender 4 who provides depth so that a striker can't use the last defender line to be onside

  I will be initiating this drill tonight at practice. I have 12U boys. This teaches the importance of passing, trapping, staying on your toes, making decisions, communication, spreading the ball out, pushing the play forward.....

  My palm keeps on getting on the opponent's face unintentionally especially those shorter than me when they press me from the behind, some players think am a rough and aggressive player but am just protecting the ball. What is your view on this?

  I coach basketball. We do something I call the NFL drill. Split team in 2 groups. Start with a time to complete the drill in, say 65 seconds, 9 trips, wall to wall, approximately 33-35 yards long depending on the gym we are in. When group one finishes, group 2 starts. Complete the drill, 2nd trip has less time to complete, say 60 seconds, group one goes first again followed by group 2. Great condition drill. With that said, I can see me adding this Beep drill to our current drills. Now, as some said above, the kid in the orange penny closest to the camera cheated on every trip. If I was the coach, he'd had gotten an ear full from me.

  I knew coach Green had a magical way about his presentations when I first saw one of his sessions training CCSU back in 1984. He had magic then a more so now! What an incredible and creative instructor for kids and coaches.
