I don't know I will ever become as skilled as you. But this looks like such satisfying work! I think I'm going to start with a sheath for my cold steel shovel. Lots of room for designs. Thankyou for this awesome video and most of all thank you for this inspiration!

To say the least, you are a true craftsman! I did not see you make the knife but it is beautiful. Though your leather work is AMAZING! The artwork is unmatched by anyone I have seen. What a joy just to watch you work.

A most excellent video! I really like the idea of making my own specialty tools from older tools that I either have a surplus of or have outlived their original intended purpose. Plus, it gives me an excuse to rev-up my wood lathe.

How do you drill the pin hole after heat treat? I do the wood working part with traditional hand tools, planes, scrapers, sandpaper but a similar process. I just prefer the feel of doing it that way, but I'm a hobbyist, not selling, not in a hurry.

Absolutely beautiful! But how would you attach the sheath to a belt?

Very nice job. As someone who tried this once, these blades can look nice and flat until you try to sand them and then you find high spots and low spots.
