  I’ve lived 20 mins from Atl all my life and lived in the perimeter for 5 years. Atl is good in the short term, but there is a pretty big issue with safety that I didn’t have to deal with even 3-4 years ago. Not to mention the traffic makes it not worth going anywhere from 2pm-8pm most days. People mention a lot of nature options - there are some but in a 1-2 years I think you can exhaust them all and get bored quickly. With that being said, I don’t really understand why people would want to live in ATL unless you’re starting a family. It has all the things a family would love (minus safety). If you like adventure, outdoorsy activities, scenic private landscapes, minimal bugs, cool air & minimal traffic… I’d look elsewhere

  Atlanta the city in a forest! I lived there for 25 years and moved away but i do miss it sometimes. I couldn’t handle the traffic and transportation nightmare, but maybe moving from LA that’s not a concern for you lol.

  I was born and raised in Atlanta and still live here because the amount of parks and nature spots is astounding. Such peaceful places to read, write, draw, walk, chill, whatever. Love the city in the forest.
