Kept them. That data was kept on the games sd card. If you only have one card, you will lose the data. I suggest backing up your card to your pc

The x55 is a heap of junk. So many videos on having to replace the supplied memory cards with branded ones, having to use an old style charger, then you need to update the O.S. from github.. Dont waste your money...

You will need to do everything in the video PLUS removing the screen. You will need to heat the adhesive with a hair dryer for about 2-3 minutes before removing the screen. Gently pry off the screen with a plastic expunger tool. If you are gentle you can reuse the adhesive. If not, you will need to buy new. Don’t overheat the screen, it will burn the oled and cause your screen to be brown.

In this particular video, I paired it to a Bluetooth controller. What this does is tells the game a controller is connected, but you can use the built in controls after that. There is a team working on spoofing a Bluetooth connection so you don’t need to use this work around. But what really needs to happen is to get the game developer to fix the issue. This issue exists on usb controllers as well, not just integrated controls.

When I did the test, only one stick was really bad. If you are in this situation and only play retro games, you should be good. I stream games to this device and I couldn't select certain items from weapon wheels in pal world until I did the replacement. Also, if you do the swap to both sides, the stick caps are removable from gulikit, so can remove the cap and get more space for hitting the abxy buttons.

$14-20 bucks for a screen when a new one is $43 on sale. Understandable. I am guessing the price will drop once the demand for the screen has ginned up. Other screens are $7-8 in this category. I think $7 is worth putting the effort in. Or you may just want to turn it into a tv only device and not repair or replace at all.

This is default settings, but you can lower them a bit to get a more stable gameplay experience. Hope this helps!

I only really had issues with this game. This is what I did. I went to the AMD website and got the drive update software. Windows Update and the Armory Crate Update was NOT updating the chipset on my ROG Ally, and a few other drivers. Once I had the current Chipset updates it has not crashed once. I showed in the video that my Ally was reporting everything up to date at the time, but it actually wasn't. The setting to run as admin was a fluke, it crashed about half the time when running as admin.

Ngl looks like it runs like shit. I doubt its the device, most likely the port which like you mentioned I've heard runs poorly on all platforms. I'd try it in NetherSX2 upscaled and see if that isnt better.

Yeah, you can see it’s running sub 30 while driving. It’s disappointing. I used aether and it runs well at about 1.5x. I’d like to purchase the android version that’s not the definitive edition to see how it does.

Mobile works, but warzone does not. Any game that requires the device to use a validated version of android or not be rooted will not work. COD:Mobile will not natively work with built in controls. You will need to pair a Bluetooth controller and that will let the built in controls work. Or you can use the keymapper feature, which I find to not be accurate enough to play competitively.

Good upgrade and decent video, but I was having anxiety watching you use improper tools! Buy an iFixit kit or a electronics kit. Anything other than that terrible allen wrench and micro screwdriver. Find a spudger or a flat plastic tool to spread apart the case

Your tools are right there!” I also use an oversized chisel to split open a RG35XX H. Good times. The problem is you're too smart for your on good. Turn cpu boost back on, change game settings to default low, 720, and use that as a baseline. Then you can start fiddling with settings to dial in performance vs fidelity. Ally runs this game acceptably, averaging 44fps, with dips into L-30s, and peeks of H-50s. In the future i suggest you hit the start button before you hit the settings button. Even Steam Deck can run this game in the 30s

I did have all that initially with except cpu boost off. I showed those settings while it was doing shader compilation step. The CPU seemed to be under utilized except when it seemed to be compiling shaders, not sure if actually compiling the cutscenes. It started off good in the 70s. I think my biggest mistake was not periodically restarting the game as I think not all changes were happening. It’s a long video that I did not edit well. I had high hopes initially with it at first peaking into the 70s with no graphics settings being touched. But it just got worse and just never recovered from me adjusting the settings. That being said. As soon as I launched the game fresh today to show a co-worker in person since the video just doesn’t do this game justice at all, it fatal errored and crashed windows. I had played on my laptop, was going to include that in the video but didn’t have time to cut it down to an acceptable length. Gamepass saves the config file in the cloud. So it loaded up a config that ally had no hopes of being able to use at all.

@cosmicgamingunlimited power profile turbo (30w), Game settings: 720p, FSR/performance, Quality/default/low = dips no lower than 34FPS, averaging in high 40s to mid 50s. I just downloaded the game this morning. There's other performance videos that corroborate my results. One showing 15w performance mode. This is of particular interest to me, as I want some mobility with the game.

You need to match the pins of the screen. I think this a 54pin layout. Then you would need to solder on different buttons and analog contact points OR set up as a comically large vertical unit. You are only limited by your skills and access to tools and parts. It would not be a simple task.

Why replace Switch's sticks with more Switch's sticks. Those are worst sticks we have today.
They are Hall effect sticks from a different brand, not potentiometer based like Nintendo official sticks.

Good upgrade and decent video, but I was having anxiety watching you use improper tools! Buy an iFixit kit or a electronics kit. Anything other than that terrible allen wrench and micro screwdriver. Find a spudger or a flat plastic tool to spread apart the case
I thought it would be funny, but people took it seriously. I use other tools in my other videos. I honestly just wanted people to realize you don’t need expensive tools to fix or replace things.

@@o.g.awe3785 FYI, it was annoying my 5 year old daughter as well. She watches me make these videos. I do them in my garage. She was like “why are you using my stuff! Your tools are right there!” I also use an oversized chisel to split open a RG35XX H. Good times. I thought about redoing this video since I am new to making videos and have learned a lot since making this.

Need ultimate for cloud gaming. If you plan on streaming from a local pc or Xbox you only need base gamepass.

The problem is you're too smart for your on good. Turn cpu boost back on, change game settings to default low, 720, and use that as a baseline. Then you can start fiddling with settings to dial in performance vs fidelity. Ally runs this game acceptably, averaging 44fps, with dips into L-30s, and peeks of H-50s. In the future i suggest you hit the start button before you hit the settings button. Even Steam Deck can run this game in the 30s
I did have all that initially with except cpu boost off. I showed those settings while it was doing shader compilation step. The CPU seemed to be under utilized except when it seemed to be compiling shaders, not sure if actually compiling the cutscenes. It started off good in the 70s. I think my biggest mistake was not periodically restarting the game as I think not all changes were happening. It’s a long video that I did not edit well. I had high hopes initially with it at first peaking into the 70s with no graphics settings being touched. But it just got worse and just never recovered from me adjusting the settings. That being said. As soon as I launched the game fresh today to show a co-worker in person since the video just doesn’t do this game justice at all, it fatal errored and crashed windows. I had played on my laptop, was going to include that in the video but didn’t have time to cut it down to an acceptable length. Gamepass saves the config file in the cloud. So it loaded up a config that ally had no hopes of being able to use at all.
@cosmicgamingunlimited power profile turbo (30w), Game settings: 720p, FSR/performance, Quality/default/low = dips no lower than 34FPS, averaging in high 40s to mid 50s. I just downloaded the game this morning. There's other performance videos that corroborate my results. One showing 15w performance mode. This is of particular interest to me, as I want some mobility with the game.
[34:51] you chose FSR over TSR probably for fluidity, but I chose clarity for this game so TSR. It’s a very playable game on the Ally.

It is possible to install a bigger screen? Like taking the screen of an X12 console (7") And connecting It to this anbernic, placing everything in a custom made, 3D printed case?
You need to match the pins of the screen. I think this a 54pin layout. Then you would need to solder on different buttons and analog contact points OR set up as a comically large vertical unit. You are only limited by your skills and access to tools and parts. It would not be a simple task.
