This is Gilmour lick ????
Research is key , I have been playing for just under a year. I picked a decent guitar and an amp that has pre-sets but i can also load sounds into the amp. The Amp is a Mustang lt25 and the app fender Tone works great with it.
Thankyou! Those licks are exactly what I've been searching for .just started learning blues rhythm at 66
Thanks James, this helps alot 🙏
Great. Thanks.
TABS.
Thanks so much for answering this question! Found your channel looking for this answer. Glad to be subscribed
I've bought your book rock licks. It's very good and it's helping me a lot. It would be great if it would have the audio examples separated from the videos. Anyway, congratulations for your work and I hope you are doing fine. I wish you all the best and I hope you come back to KZread. Best
Skip to 5:38 for the lesson to begin. This guy LOVES hearing himself talk.
Err...a bit harsh perhaps? The first 5 mins is where I explain what call and response is - I think some viewers will need to know this info given that this is the topic of the lesson! Anyway, thanks for watching :-)
Nice little scale with a c note at either end for some resolution.
Where can I grab the backing track for this ? Is it in your site if so where can I find it cheers
I am going to copy this Gilmoresque hi-low Rock Call & Response and my guitar instructor, who wanted me studying Phrasing this week, is going to be amazed!
Cool, hope it helps you and your teacher notices a real difference! Good luck, James
Thank you, I've purchased 'Blues Soloing For Guitar, Volume 1 and 2' .Right now. Good Sunday. Cheers from Treviso, IT
Thanks for your message, really hope you enjoy the books. Thanks for reading! Cheers, James 🎸✊
Very very like your lesson in ballad, were you using minor pentatonic paaterns or diatonic patterns
Great lesson mate! Much needed. Sounds so easy…..bloody hard to actually do
Awesome
Ah my three favs
What is the name book?
Tremendous! Really useful and usable riffs! Absolutely Brilliant! Cheers 🥂
Great vid Sir
what songs are these licks from¿
REALLY like how you went to that half-time version of the first lick. That's a nice way to let me practice it slowly at first but still get the right timing. Well done.
Love your videos! I have been playing for 35 years and I learn something every time I watch one.
Great, thanks for watching!
Brilliant tutorial, just like James books, excellent. 😊
Looser
Great job man!
The thing about the infamous looping lick first 3 notes E12 B15-p-12 is barring 12th fret with index finger to maximize economy (pick E once, hammer B15, pulloff to B12 w/index already barring it) instead of switching individually from E to B for the pulloff, any thoughts?
Could work for some people I guess. I've found the barre can be harder to control string bleed/clarity. ...but sure, other way could work I agree. Cheers!
This is a really great tutorial.
No Bull books ate my favorite music theory and learning books. have several and want to get them all
the no bull books are my favorite music theory books. have several of them
Im new to your channel but was blown away by your easy to understand and killer licks to broaden our vocabulary really love the lil blues slides to the pent scale esp in lick 4 very awesome for us who have a small grip on pent scale but need some new roads to rravel thank you , new follower
Bravissimo io ho comprato anche i suoi libri e con queste lezioni tutto appare più chiaro.
dear LORD THANK YOU SO MUCH. I've watched like 10 gazillion videos, and ask probably 15 different Reddit community. But all of them either doesn't get to the point, or doesn't explain them it at all, or just talks about the formula and say "well you just gotta remember it" or explain it saying extremely complicate shit like "stacking thirds interval and m3 M3 m3+m3 blah blah blah" DEAR LORD How come you're the only person across the whole wide internet who can explain it in a brief, short, easy to explain logical way like that? Good Lord bless you Happy Chrismas & Happy New Year kind sirr
