Singing Cooking Man's Japanese Recipes

Singing Cooking Man's Japanese Recipes

Welcome to my Japanese cooking channel!!
I am the owner/instructor of Haru Cooking Class in Kyoto, Japan.

TRUTH:
Japanese people DON'T make ramen from scratch at home.
Japanese people DON'T eat sushi everyday.
Japanese people DO eat hamburgers & pasta occasionally.

I want to tell the truth. That's my only passion.

If you are interested in LEARNING about the REAL JAPANESE CULTURE, FOOD and PEOPLE, please DO check out my videos! Let’s sing together!

Thank you very much.

Now I’ve had a zojirushi rice cooker( baby elephant) I can’t imagine life without it. If it ever dies I’ll replace it because I can’t go back to cheap rice cookers. I do wash my rice in a separate rice washing bowl to help preserve the rice cooker removable pan for as long as possible. My sone uses Chinese sausage in his rice for a meal after a hard day at college. I love tomato and mushroom rice. However eve;just making any of the several types of rice all work well in this cooker.

As a pretty avid KZread watcher, this is one of my favorite videos I've seen in a long time. Funny, informative, fantastic intro, fun family. Subscribed! P.S. I just got the Zojirushi neural fuzzy model and am going to make rice an everyday thing. Amazing results. Going to try making the Salmon and Sisho rice soon!

So 取り消し seems to be cancel, how come its written in all hiragana here? Can you just use hiragana in its totality here or is it for ease of use?

Thank you for taking the time to produce this video. I am a second generation Japanese born in U.S., but only now learning how to make Japanese food. I am fascinated by delicious and beautiful Japanese food, desserts, along with its culture and history. Your videos are more informative than the cook books I've been purchasing lately. The books give recipes (with wonderful stories and pictures), but you provide additional instructions on how and why. I believe I can figure out what to do even though you have a free-style way of cooking (not using measurement cups or spoons). We need more Japanese food culture in the U.S. because many of these wonderful foods, besides the popular ones (Teriyaki, Katsu, Sushi, Tempura, etc.), are not familiar here. I appreciate your Japanese word lessons (like "Katsuretsu"), help with pronunciations so we don't sound like silly foreigners, explanations of the food products, and your family life with wife and children make your videos enjoyable and your singing makes cooking fun!

I’ve had mine for several years. It’s so nice to put the rice in, put the water in, turn it on and forget about it until the Zojirushi tune plays saying it’s ready. 👍

We have 3 rice cookers in our house (got in gifts) of all sizes, but my mother still prefers cooking in a pot, and I can assure you it tastes better than any rice I've had outside (maybe the magic is in her hands)

Hello! I just received and cooked my rice for the first time in a Zojirushi rice cooker and it was INCREDIBLE, like eating a cloud. I just have a question. The manual specifies I shouldn't cook anything in it aside from rice and cake, so I'm a bit scared of putting anything else in it. Still I really want to try all these recipes... Will my rice cooker break or malfunction if I cook these recipes? My model is NLBAC05SB for 3 cups
