  what about the bypass wire you put in the distributor? where did you get that? where are the timing marks? did you use an advance light and set timing to zero?

  Curious, My port standard rotation motor is setup exact to this, however my reverse rotation motor has a different distributor and setup on top of the motor, any idea why? I am also having timing issues since new, it sets off the knock sensor at 3K RPM and goes into limp mode. when hooked up it shows it placing 42 degrees of timing to the motor, not sure why

  MY engine immediately dies when I supply 12V to the black wire. I either cannot get into base timing or cannot get out of it, one of the two. Any thoughts?

  will a reverse rotation engine run if the wrong starter is put on it and the wires are standard, because my 454 i got from a shop runs bad but its flywheel timing lines are backwards making me think it originally is reverse rotating but they couldn't figure it out so they sold it to me.

  base timing EST wire was the information that I needed but unfortunately you showed how to point a timing gun and how to turn a distributor thanks

  I have a 1964 fiber form that deserves that engine and out drive. Love the video thanks for sharing the neatness and quality of the craftsmanship. every body needs a hole in the water. also do you remember what the term B.O.A.T. stands for? bust out another thousand..... i guess the saying goes i do not care

  hey michigan motor. i have a similar engine, i pulled it to fix an oil leak as well as a broken Ypipe. now i want to run it on the floor (test it prior to install on boat) but i am not sure how to do this without a wire harness. can you offer any info?

  , I'm kinda guessing because it's been a while but just the exhaust manifolds were looking at are probably 6 grand. Not like there is much choice. Even if choking it down with some old Mercruiser stuff didn't bother you I'm pretty sure they won't bolt to these blocks.

  I use to have a mullet but I got sick of the maintenance so I just shave my head, Supercharged V8's are like a reverse mullet, party in the front WeeeeeeeH, business in the back VroooooM.

  What's the timing supposed to be for a 454 Big block Mark 4 casting# 14015445 crusader ch350? Original manual says 10° before top dead center but do I follow that considering most of when I'm hearing is not to follow original engine spec on timing with these or it could blow up the engine. Please help

  Chevrolet/GM is just better than Ford and Dodge. The aftermarket support that the LS engines have is unmatched. Ford has to turbo everything because they can't build a naturally aspirated engine with any kind of power. Dodge with their hemi are having so many Cam and lifter problems as well as fuel economy problems it's a joke. Chevrolet has always been the go-to aftermarket engine as far as I know. GM is just number one.
