Come See With Me!

Come See With Me!

Welcome to my channel, Come See With Me! My channel primarily features select movie filming locations I've found and various college football stadiums I've visited. I also mix in other things from time to time, but my channel "Come See With Me" is mainly centered around those topics. I have a passion for searching for filming locations and for college athletics. For years I have been interested in where movies were filmed, so I started searching for these locations to share with others who may not be able to see them themselves. I'm also on a quest to see every FBS college football stadium. I have been to 133 out of the 134 FBS stadiums and many of them are featured on Come See With Me (as well as other schools). And I don't only visit the stadiums, I also enjoy visiting the campuses and towns/cities that the universities reside in. The main purpose of this channel is simply to share my journeys with others who have similar interests in these topics as well. So...Come See With Me!

    Recent subscriber here. Tremendous job on the Hoosiers video. FYI, if you ever revisit it you can find the exact spot where they filmed the coach's car driving on 350 toward Milan, close to Dillsboro. I found it by accident. There were no divided four lane highways back then so it jumped out at me. Also it would be interesting if you made a video on the Hoosiers movie basically never happening. They played basketball and they won the championship, but that's basically all that's true about Hoosiers. For instance the coach was in his thirties, married with two kids, and had a winning record. He was EXPECTED to win state. Also the film portrayed that only seven boys tried out for basketball when in reality something like 75 out of 90 boys tried out for basketball. It was a basketball school in a basketball town in a basketball state. LOL Same story for Remember The Titans. The only thing true about that movie is that they played football. The other teams in their conference integrated before the Titans, and they didn't even go to Gettysburg. I don't mind a film telling me a fictional story, but I resent it when they tell me it really happened, and I resent it worse when NONE of it happened. Just watch the interview with the two coaches on the DVD. They had nothing to say. It was embarrassing.

  • @ComeSeeWithMe
    @ComeSeeWithMe3 күн бұрын

    Thank you. I think what resonates so strongly with people about Hoosiers is the format of the state tournament back then (and up until somewhat recent years) functioned without any sort of division or class systems. It was a true “all vs all” statewide tournament no matter how large or small the competing schools were. Remember, this movie is called “Hoosiers,” it wasn’t called “Milan Indians.“ Of course there’s going to be a Hollywood element and flavoring to it. It’s a movie. It’s meant to tell a story but to also entertain. But its core components and elements are based off of what Milan did. I’ve been all throughout the state of Indiana through many of its cities and small towns. When standing in Milan and thinking that a team from there won a state championship before classes or divisions existed after visiting many of Indiana’s largest cities, it was quite impressive. Even though Milan had a very good team the year before they won the title, the fact they had a way, way smaller pool to draw from compared to the big city schools (some of which had powerhouse programs themselves) is why the story is so powerful. Anyone can poke holes in movies like Hoosiers, or Rudy for example, about what is fact or fiction. But the truth of the matter is, they are movies based on concepts of the truth, and those movies are not documentaries. And if they were documentaries, I can all but assure you they’d appeal to far less people than those movies did. The movie Hoosiers exists because of Milan, but Hoosiers isn’t a documentary of Milan. Therein lies the difference.

    YEAAHHH!!! I knew you'd come through, brother! Love it!! Even though it's short, you actually covered the one scene that I've always wanted to know where it was filmed (344 Wash). Fun fact, the scene where Leonardo DiCaprio was walking through the airport on the phone with Dignam (Wahlberg) talking about a leak from the inside, that was filmed in Terminal C at Logan Airport on the walkway from the parking garage. I worked in Terminal C at the time at Legal Seafood which is right beneath that tunnel/walkway. Although, at the time we had no idea they were filming the movie there, and it was filmed during my days off so I didn't get the chance to see anything being filmed. And from what I was told by coworkers, there wasn't much to see because security and TSA was tight in that general area.

    Dude, you have a real gift for this sort of travelogue! I follow a bunch of vloggers and no one covers subjects as thoroughly as you do, and I've only seen a half dozen people on KZread work a camera at this level. Also, the editing is absolutely AMAZING. There are popular vloggers that just slam clips together in their phone, which is just lazy. It's so nice to see someone who goes through the trouble to install fade transitions. It's a lot of extra work and it's not going unnoticed. Also, you don't make us look at your mug the whole time like most do. You seem to realize that "It is the tale, not he who tells it." (Stephen King) I always marvel that these guys seem to think that constantly showing their face adds to the video experience. It really doesn't. I wish you would consider branching out into other destinations. There are people that will never see these places, and no one covers them like you. I would love to see you cover Meow Wolf and maybe museums and zoos (again, I know other vloggers have covered these places but you have a very unique approach). I am a Dirty Dancing fanatic! I’ve been to all the Lake lure locations and I mistakenly was filming the wrong steps! Thank you for clarifying! Can you tell me where was the waterfall where they did the dancing on the log scene? I’m so curious thank you for this amazing video!

    Don’t feel bad about going to the wrong steps, many people do the same thing. As for the log scene location, that is on a private site outside of the Lake Lure area.

    @@ComeSeeWithMe was it in tryon nc or the Highlands Lake Inn? I really am just curious it’s my last place to find I did. This was last of the Americans too. I kinda hit all those spots and I was so excited! Seriously you did such an amazing job. I think I’ve watched your video three times already again thank you so much.!
