My mock orange doesn’t get sudsy. Maybe it’s a “mock” mock orange. 😮
Its a beautiful flower, except it is very dangerous
It did harm the tree as its now full of rot. Typical !
a weed people kill .
Every one of your vides is a delight and the concise info downloads are Greatly Appreciated!!🙏💕🙏
Love your videos!🙏🥰
What an excellent question! Do we grow plants, or do plants grow us? Wonderful, wonderful video! Your love of Plants is super uplifting!💖
Nice, learning something new here. Very pretty plant when it is in bloom!
I didn't realise until last week that we have a Mahonia plant at the front garden. Apart from jelly, what else can you do with the berries and you mentioned about the bark for medicinal uses, how do you make this? Maybe tincture? 😊😍
Lovely video!
😂 thank you for the note you ended on 👌🏿
From Europe…. Spreads profusely…. That’s sounds invasive to moi…
Thank you for your description about Junifer ❤
TY…great presentation!💯
Cool! You can see a lot of these on the East side of Glacier National Park..A forest fire happened there in 2015.
One of my favorite flowers here in Missoula, Montana! They smell like cocoa!
The reason they are called Salmon Berry is because when they are the color of Salmon eggs they are the perfect ripeness to eat. Their most tastey time. Only recently in the last 20 years or so has the name been given the wrong meaning. Awesome video though
Do deer like aspen trees?
They should have giving it a Native American name. Everything here has a European name but they live in America.
Devils claw is also good for low back pain! With Cats Claw being used for upper body (neck and shoulders) pain relief. Or is it the otherway around )? Learned the value of these two herbs when finally was diagnosed with lyme disease after 25 years of being undiagnosed. Love your video's!!!
Nice. Here in the UK we have Populus tremula, just called 'aspen'. Also clones and in modern times, not used for much. I wonder if the properties of timber and foliage are similar....
The image of a pine cone looks like Jeffery Pine. The same for the vanilla smell.
thank you. That was interesting.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this! I'm trying to find out more about members of the carrot family!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Great would it grow in the tropics?

Good to see you back like what you've done with your hair young lady. Blessings
Just came across one of these today, and spent about 15 minutes using google to figure out what it is. It's late summer now, but it's got some berries that will ripen up in a week or so.
Red-Flowering Currant is one of my favorites - make sure to keep an eye out for them when they bloom in the spring!
🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️👍👍
Thank you!
GREAT video. Thanks. The best of its type.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! Berry informative video. I really enjoy the intense sour and bitter flavor these berries have and the crunch of the seeds inside. I recommend not to eat many of them at a time or on an empty stomach.
Hi @ssanihal ! Thank you for watching! Yes, I agree with you about not going overboard on these ones
Poisonous? I have Afib and I eat foxgloves in salad every day. It controls my heart rate!
That joke at the end is very funny!
:D glad you enjoyed!
So much info in this video. Thank you I learned a lot
Thanks for watching Lou!
Is it safe to grow in my room?
I wouldn't do it if you have pets!
I enjoy planting Aspens in my development projects, clients love them, but over time, they tend to takeover landscaped areas with the horizontal root spread. Is there a method for preventing roots to spread in a particular direction? i.e. inserting a vertical membrane in the direction a person doesn't want the roots to spread?
oooh good question! I was going to say that I didn't think there was really any way to prevent the horizontal spread, but I did find this article that talks about barriers, although I can't vouch for it's accuracy: www.hunker.com/13428908/how-to-stop-aspen-roots-from-spreading
If deer attack this tree. Will it grow back? Does it take copice by deer?
I think it should - keep me posted?
I live in the city and I don't have deer, but I've had this plant in my yard for the 2nd winter now and something else is definitely eating it too. Birds/squirrels/racoons/rats maybe? I think it must be a combination of it staying green when a lot of other things have died/lost their leaves, but it also must just be super palatable. For me though only the greenery gets eaten and so far it's easily grown back.
Thank you so much. I was thinking I had a good spot about 20 feet away from my septic tank but apparently that would be a bad idea… What a beautiful tree. I’m so glad I purchased 6 of them from a company in Wisconsin called “Chief River Nursery.” Their prices for trees are so much more affordable than everyone else I have found, I highly recommend it.
Hi! Thanks for saying hello and I will remember that nursery!
I have so much salmonberry growing in my yard but I only get to eat a small handful each year because the deer and birds get them before they're ripe.
Yes my annual challenge too! Hard to beat those birds!
I read that you should not touch foxgloves without wearing gloves. How are these poisonous flowers allowed to be sold to people as cut flowers? What if you handle food after touching the flowers or children touch them and put their fingers in their mouths. Gorgeous plants though.
Very informative video, thank you. In my experience, I've found Quaking Aspen to be quite flammable. I cleared a couple acres with my dad back in the 90s and it was the only species where we didn't have to let the burn piles sit for a few months to dry out. If you got a good fire burning first, we could throw 6 foot long, 12 inch round logs in that were just cut down minutes earlier and they'd catch fire within a few minutes and nothing but ashes in a few hours.
Wow! Glad you liked the video :)
