I just bought a net gear nighthawk ax5400 and did some research and it has duma is built in that I think I should be able to access from my phone? I’m not too sure but I play on Xbox and my question is can I play on servers from like Russia and other regions? And would this make my lobbies easier?

Hey, just to clarify have you just bought a Nighthawk XR1000? If so, yes it does have built in DumaOS that you can access on your phone via the DumaOS app. The Geo-Filter in DumaOS will allow you to choose servers to connect to. It won't necessarily impact the difficulty of the lobbies though. The purpose of the Geo-Filter is to get you low ping games

Still contant double nat settings. Can sometimes close xbox down. Jump on later. Double nat lol. Me and fraser been back and forth on this for ages. No success at all. For some reason its like the static is changing even though in my linksys settings. Nothing has at all. Seems like a waste of money so far on the R3. More issues than fun with all the benefits.

I would definitely buy this router if you had 2.5Gig ports. My internet is 2Gig in the UK. The R3 is limited to 1Gig ports and it’s a shame that you don’t have an upgraded version.

i used a ping test on goole and i got thsi?? min: 20 ms avg: 28.9 ms max: 45 ms median: 29.0 ms jitter: 6.0 ms Is it good enogh for gaming(I should mention i use my android phone tethering w usb c cable so sadly only way to get internet at my house at the moment so info is great for me) THANKS

my internet IS REALLY good i recently moved to UAE and i noticed with the speed test that this network is good but when i join rocket league O M G the packet loss is insane i start the game with like 50 ping and then SPIKES TO 300 for the entire game its making it unplayable!

Makes no difference whether you update this file or leave it on whatever update you have as it does not thing to improve your gaming experience. The net coding on Xdefiant for example is well known to have such poor to non existent hit detection. You would be saving so much money by not purchasing a device which adds nothing to improve gaming due to said issue. If you download, stream or have another person browsing on another device the ping has increased to 180 for me. Tried, experimented and seen when gaming, thus resulting in lag like you cannot imagine. Worth noting when playing Xedfiant all the servers are located in Europe, none in UK and further proof that geo filtering doesn't work. Just a gimmick to get people to hand over a lot of cash for cosmetics rather substance. Same with COD as their servers are not dedicated and known to be the worst in the business for decades as they only care about making people by add ons. Therefore this router can never deliver an experience as described and worth noting their demonstrations are against bots so it's not fooling me.

Geo filter and steady ping do not work. They increase ping and make your game so unstable it's unplayable. I've had to turn it completely off and the router runs even better than it would with it on. I love this router, but there's a lot that needs to be worked on I've had it since it's dropped.

Turn geo latency off. Shouldnt go outside where ever youve set your location then. Dont know why should have to turn this off when it says its recommended to keep it on. But hey ho. They do need to sort quite a bit out. Far too much of a faff. I have serious issues with double nat. They finally sorted. But for how long lol. Ipv6 doesnt work either. My sonos dont connect to the router.

My ping stays consistent in warzone but I still have lag spikes and stutter with no packet loss. I wonder if it’s because of my connection because I have a fixed wireless internet provider. But as far as streaming several devices at once there is no buffering. Ping stabilizer does well I. Multiplayer but it does not stabilize in warzone

@@netduma you have as ive mentioned them before with fraser. Sonos was telling me it was a known issue. I was able to finally get the beam to connect but that was a faff. The roams will just not connect at all. Just tries and tries to connect and always fails. Instantly connects to my providers router. It is odd as they are they only things that wont connect. Although i was a tester for sonos at the time so maybe their apps and everything wernt allowing it for some reason. Still doesnt make sense.

@@netduma its not urgent bud. Just found it strange during testing. As im constantly battling with double nat setting. Dont see the point in having anything other than the xbox on it. I put in dmz. I followered frasers instructions on the static ip for r3. I got a week out of it and now double nat again. Thats longest ive had though lol. Constant battle like i said. Be better me payin connect fibre for a static ip but by rights i shouldnt have to.

The biggest mistake that gamers make is allowing netduma to rip them off by selling under powered routers with 1gbps instead of 2.5gbps or 10gbps ports. Smh shame on netduma ripping off customers like that

There is alot of issues with this router , ranging from the vpn to wps which doesn't even work . Your game won't connect to network until you start the network with another network that doesn't have the geo filter.

None of this worked my game is so unplayable. I’m slingshotting across the map. Even with the csts shit it says I have good ping but I’m still lagging. I fell in love with this game about a year ago and I never had these issues a year ago. With time it feels like it has gradually gotten worse. Nowadays I mostly play against bots cuz that’s the only time me game even works what am I even supposed to do cuz I’m almost done for good with this game

I have 500Mbps internet speeds and average at 10-20ping when not lagging I did all of these things before even coming to this video so i have nothing to change, yet i get a spike of 200+ ping and a short while of unplayable gameplay. Honestly dont know what to do. Im on xbox series X if it helps

jus got mines like 2 days ago and tbh it dosn't feel good in 2k thats what i was tryna use it for gameplay feels terrible tbh but not a problem i have my other router to go back to also geo filter dosn't work i did a simple it would still connect me to servers that are far away same with Polygon did not work as well.... wifi dosn't reach supper far but its okay ig other then that its a good router
