Hey everyone! I'm Rachel & I want to share my crazy life with you. My life was turned upside down in May of 2015, I was 29 years old & had been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I made the decision early on that I would be open about what I was going through in hopes of helping others. Something like cancer which is so devastating has led me down an amazing path. I embraced this journey & so many new & exciting opportunities have opened up. I started to paint again, which has led to me to my greatest accomplishment yet. I started a program at Roswell Park Cancer Institute called "Paint Night with Patients." I teach patients & their caretakers how to paint like I do (no paint brushes!) But the most surprising thing that has happened was we found out that I am pregnant! After being told it would never happen! We know that this will be our greatest adventure yet. I will have videos on cancer, art, pregnancy, lifestyle, & whatever else may come along. Please join me on this crazy ride!

i agree about the birth plan. i had this very specific plan, just to end up having preeclampsia needed an induction which i never wanted and it ended in a emergency c section. so this time around with my 2nd im 35 weeks the only things i want is immediate skin to skin, baby stays in the room with me if all is good, and latching as soon as possible. other than that if i end up laboring on my own ill go for the VBAC if not c section it is🤷🏽♀️

Yes, I vacuum and/or sweep our garage often. My theory is - get the dirt before it gets into the house. I also use some sort of matts on each side of all entrance doors for the same reason. The wind blows debris into our garage every time we drive in & out - Ugh! I designed the house to have separate long store rooms on each side of the garage to eliminate some of the cluttered look and to keep storage bins, etc cleaner. You were brave to start this job with a new baby & a toddler. Congrats!

**LOSING. Your hair is "loose" and falls out. Me too. Pretty sure mine is from Thyroid issues (have you gotten yours checked?), also Long Covid. I've always had TONS of thick hair (too thick). A few years ago right before I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, half of it fell out. It's starting up again. I need to find a good doctor that CARES but that's near impossible. I heard about a product from Target on a FB page I follow. It's got amazing reviews and I think it works well if I'm consistent. It's called Mielle Rosemary & Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil.
I haven't gotten my thyroid checked. Mr doctor said my body just went through too many difficult things in a short time. It is growing back now. I have been using the Vegamour line for months now and I have so much new growth. I use all of it but the gummies and scalp serum are amazing. I have so much new growth that I have a mohawk going down the center of my head lol. My hair is now difficult to style because of it but I am so impressed. You should check it out, they always have sales!

Start a silly tradition ugly socks,weird candy etc. pick one and put it It in their basket every year. My son is 30 and still gets ugly socks lol
I love this! We always buy fun socks for dad and my son loves helping me pick them out!
My boys are 22 and 24 I make them and my husband a Easter basket every year I always put a little bit of money in a plastic egg. This year I got everyone trail mix something a little different from candy and gum ❤❤

Same here I'm fasting 16 houand 2 meals a day soo hard loose weight, horrible which I use to be skinny never overweight as soon hormonal therapy start I gain 25 pounds and being so depressed
The weight gain was so difficult! I never really realized just how much our hormones effect our bodies and how they function. I know that there are ways to test your hormones and ways to eat to help hormones, but I never really looked into it because I was just so afraid of doing the wrong thing. You look amazing, be proud of what your body has been able to go through. You are a survivor!!
I'm almost 4 years survivor and continue anastrozole and zoladex hate this my side effects:hot flashes, depression, hair weight even eat clean exercise, stiff muscle, fatigue, always tired,dry skin,painful sex.
Congratulations on 4 years! The side effects are so bad. It's like here's all the side effects of menopause, you get to have all of them in an extreme manner. Have fun! Make sure you are talking to your doctor, mine was very understanding and gave me options. Keep your head up, you're doing great!

I couldn’t agree more. They decide the plan. Lol I’ve learned that with both pregnancies, but it was a lot easier the second time around.

And I’ve also been feeling a crazy amount of pressure very low and very very strong kicking in just so much pain the past few days it’s been so hard to get things done but I do feel like I want to have everything done just in case my baby boy comes early too Love this video!! ❤

I'm so glad you found this helpful! Good luck with treatment. Make sure you tell your doctors what you are experiencing as far as side effects go, they have many things they can give you to help. I hope you kick cancer's ass!!! Stay positive!
Rachel, I have thick very curly hair (normally).. last year I had covid and about a month or 2 after, I started to lose my hair.. I went from a little over 2 hours to straighten and dry it, to 1 hour.. it was a lot of hair.. it is finally coming back and it's taking me a little more than an hour to do the job now.. luckily you couldn't tell that I lost that much hair because I had so much.. things will get better! Sending hugs..🤗

Hi did You get pregnant with eggs after chemo naturally or through ivf ( or with eggs frozen from before chemo)? I also had chemo with cyclophosphamide epirubicin taxol and i Tried but only one embryo and did not survive.I pray i still ca-n with eggs from now after chemo. Congratulations for the baby!
Thank you so much! We actually just had our second baby. Both babies were conceived naturally. I didn't freeze any eggs before I started treatment. I didn't want to risk waiting 3 months to start treatment. I hope that you get your miracle baby too!

Yes I vacuum my garage. Also have a small 5 gallon shop vac that I use indoors. I frequently go around all the baseboards - bottoms and tops and also keep up on the never ending cat liter mess. Also use to vac the ceilings and tops of windows (8ft ceilings so makes those tasks so much easier.) I also vac my porch frequently. Neighbor has a maple tree right at the corner near my porch so I’m always sucking up those whirly things and other tree debris. Nice garage project! 😃😃😃
