You’re one of the few guys I see who actually keeps his legs straight the entire pull-ups instead of push them forward like he’s kipping strong man!

That’s crazy for that wide of a stance lol to go that deep
@DepthHitter9 күн бұрын
Strong man I think if you fixed your form a bit you would be a lot stronger as well. Looks like you’re starting with the bar kinda far from shin level and pulling it in front of you.
@Cody_JY9 күн бұрын
That was unusual for me if you look at all my deadlifts on my page I always drag it right up my shins, it kind of caught me off guard when that happened here, not very used to pulling heavy deficits.
@DepthHitter9 күн бұрын
@@Cody_JYthat makes sense I wasn’t saying anything bad was just pointing out you could definitely pull more but didn’t see your other videos I’m jealous lol. I pull like this all the time and need to fix it myself that’s why I was pointing it out I got to 405 without any leg drive but my form was very questionable

why the wide stance for squat and dl?
@Cody_JY29 күн бұрын
I just find it most comfortable and most stable, on squat it prevents me from leaning forward so much because my torso is short compared to quads.

@@Cody_JY right on. It's not necessarily that you looked shorter being i have no frame of reference for your actual height. But your chest and shoulders looked pretty beefy. I was 6'2" before time, gravity, and bad posture robbed me of an inch and a half. But I was always jealous of my brother who is 5'9". I could spend weeks in the gym trying to add bulk and not really get the results I was after and he would put in two sessions and just look jacked. I think our differing training methods were also to blame though. I was once asked by a very knowledgeable trainer. If I would rather be able to lift 1000lbs once, or 250 lbs all day. I opted for stamina and he put together a week long routine isolating different zones on different days. Only 4 days of heavy lifting a week. But the crucial part was that he had me set up on alternating styles. First the treadmill, while my heart rate was still up go do my curls. Breathing break, then stair climber. For x minutes, maintain heart rate into next exercise, break. Before long the breaks between were removed and I had trained up a respectable amount of stamina and strength. So I ended up with more aerobic and lean muscle. No bulk. If you want to develop stamina that is absolutely the way. But you also need to pair it with proper diet and cooldown stretches. Yoga on your days off to keep you limber and to stimulate bloodflow and oxygenation of your muscle tissue. That's where the stamina really comes from. It's a demanding routine but so very rewarding.

I do not think so, when I do a conventional deadlift I have to bend over alot because of how long my quads are compared to my torso, I actually am able to be more upright with the bar behind me and this puts more of the load on my legs than a regular deadlift does.
